July 12th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition under the leadership of the country’s First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon have rejected the ‘Post-Entebbe’ peace proposal presented last wee by the mediation.

On Tuesday, the Sudanese government mediating between a number of South Sudan opposition groups and the government unveiled a new peace plan similar to a previous one presented on Saturday in Entebbe by Uganda’s President and his Sudanese counterpart Omar Al-Bashir.

Speaking to the Nyamilepedia on Thursday, the SPLM-IO Director of Information and Public Relations Pouk Both Baluang said the group has rejected the proposal because it  has nothing new different from the Entebbe proposal.

Baluang also denied knowledge about a claim by South Sudan’s Information Minister Michael Makuei that the parties will sign peace deal on Friday saying the mediation has not presented any new daft rather than the ‘Post-Entebbe Daft’ which he said they also rejected.

“We didn’t receive any new proposal from the Sudanese mediation. Worth mentioning that we rejected the last proposal (the Post – Entebbe Proposal),” Baluang said in a brief statement to the Nyamilepedia.
