August 9, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— Latest reports from South Sudan’s Yei, a county within Central Equatoria State, confirm reports of renewed fighting around Yei city within the last 24 hours.

According to Henry Sekou, a resident of Yei town, gun fighting could be heard from multiple directions, raising fear and panic in a town that has been shaken by conflict for the last two years.

Contacted by Nyamilepedia editorial team, Sekou reports that heavy fighting was heard today towards Juba-Yei road, a few minutes after the troops left the town heading northward.

Confirming the reports, James Gatdet Dak, the spokesman of SPLM/SPLA-IO chairman, accused president Salva Kiir’s troops for launching ground attacks on their defensive positions around Juba-Yei road and also around Yei town.

“There was fierce fighting around Yei town today, Tuesday, as President Kiir’s forces attacked SPLA-IO troops in their defensive positions some kilometers north of Yei. The attacking forces were defeated and chased back into the town, as the town has been besieged. Our forces are also in full control of Lasu, south of Yei town towards the Ugandan border.” Gatdet Said.

“Meanwhile, another force loyal to Kiir which moved from Juba last evening, Monday, and attacked our forces on Juba-Yei road has been defeated and their ramnants, including their mercenary Toraboras, have run back to Juba in disarray.” Gatdet buy accutane continued

Although the cause of these recent fighting is yet to be established, the armed Opposition believes that the attacks were planned from Juba to attack their defensive position both from Juba to the North and Yei to the South West at the same time with intention to capture or kill their leaders but Gatdet said their troops won the battles.

Due to mounting pressure from the region and the international community to send in a regional force, fighting is likely to increase in South Sudan in the next few days as elements, who oppose the deployment of foreign troops, may use anything in their means to try to achieve a military victory before the region intervenes to break the fight.

The city of Yei, which is located to the South West of Juba towards Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo borders, is approximately 170 kilometers or a distance of less than 3 hours drive from the capital, Juba.

Before the conflict, Yei started booming as a business hub, attracting traders and customers from all three countries. Ivory Bank and Kenya Commercial Bank maintained branches in the city but many businesses are now closed down due to frequent fighting in the town.

For the last three weeks, South Sudan fighting has been concentrated around Juba-Yei road. Major highway including Juba-Nimule highway and Juba-Bor roads witnessed clashes making exit-entry to the capital almost impossible.

To Isaac: Who said” USA do something to southsudan pliz”
America is not a heaven , it is a country like our country. USA has it own problems such as racial killing of African American by white police offers. American government need to fix the issue of racial discrimination before they can come and help people in South Sudan.

At the end of the day, the Nuers people will come to asks press Secretary of former vice president for fueling fights in Juba. Jamse Gatdet Dak send message to his face-book telling his SPLA I0 at Jebel Kujur that, the first vice president has been arrested and when the SPLA I0 heard that, this was way they went to J1 of presidential palace and attacked president’s bodyguards and this is how the war went on. Keep singing about fighting but in the end of day, some of you will asks press Secretary of former first vice president to explain clearly why fueling war.?

James Gatdet, the warmonger has been singing the same false songs about fighting going on around Juba and that the IO forces have defeated the government troops which is rubbish.

Kiir – if you have any power, for the sake of South Sudan. Stop Malong.

The foreign troops are not going to resolve the conflict nationwide no matter the large number of soldiers they will send. They will only be there to protect the IDPs, JMEC, foreign embassies, humanitarian works but not all South Sudanese. Their focus and scope of activities will be limited to Juba only.

What could have increased serious tension is what Kiir did by replacing Riek machar with his own junior (Gai Taban Deng).

The US wants the foreign troops to take control of Juba Airport. The motive is to make it safe for flying in and out of foreign nationals, as well as South Sudanese who have foreign citizenships and passports. The rest of South Sudanese can either flee to the IDPs’ camps or stay in their homes.

Those who will be employed at Juba Airport will all be foreigners, not South Sudanese.

Once the foreigners have taken the Juba Airport and no South Sudanese oversights, natural resources such as gold which is easily extractable without even using machinery in places like Kapoeta will be looted and smuggled out of South Sudan, using Juba Airport with no radar from South Sudanese detecting it.

As the foreigners troops won’t come to Juba with members of their opposite sexes, it is likely that the region will see old profession taking place with local population plagued by deadly STDS which they have never have since the years of previous civil wars with Khartoum regimes.

Is good idea Nuer people don’t care anymore because Salva Kiir is sold South Sudan to foreigners like Ugandans and stole the entire funds to his personal account infact Jieng Council proven to the Whole World that they are food lover than anything so South Sudan Independent is shame and nothing to be so proud of it.

Though some South Sudanese like the IO and its supporters want foreign forces, there is not much benefit they can get from their deployment in Juba. Only the IDPs can benefit through protection of their lives and humanitarian handouts. The humanitarian aide is never enough or satisfactory to refugees or IDPs regardless of good security given to them.

Truth must be spoken, nothing like first vice President was arrested that is why fighting started in J1 but it is the poor and misleading argument by the government and plan situation for the killing of the IO leader but God didn’t want that

NO NOT ANYTIME SOON UNTIL SALVA KIIR IS DEAD ON GONE BECAUSE HE SAID PEACE WILL COME IF SOMEOTHER PEOPLE ARE DEAD, THE SAME THING PEACE WILL NOT HAPPEN IF HE IS STILL ALIVE.
