February 18th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The leader of the Federal Democratic Party and South Sudan Armed Forces (FDP/SSAF), Thomas Peter Okaich, denied on Saturday that he had authored an opinion article on the Nyamilepedia in which he criticized Changson Lew over the FDP leadership.

Changson is the founder and leader of the Federal Democratic Party (FDP) who has also been the leader of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) since its establishment in late 2017 in Addis Ababa.

In the article, tittle: “FDP/SSAF: A factional leader’s inside view,” the person who identified himself as Thomas Peter Okach criticized Changson’s administration of the rebel groups affairs saying since its establishment, the “FDP/SSAF was a movement of faceless individuals brought together by enduring family ties that bind and expected personal self-enrichment.”

In a statement issued on Saturday, Thomas Peter Okaich who lead the FDP faction which is a member of the NADAFA alliance led by Dr. Hakim Dario denied authoring the article published in Thursday by the Nyamilepedia.

“By virtue of the right to a reply, I would like to challenge and repudiate the claims made and attributed to my good name as being the author of the article dated 14/02/2019 on Nyamilepedia website,” he said.

“The allegations and contents of the article which carry my name Thomas Peter Okeich for the FDP/SSAF Gabriel Changson faction as the author of the article are a patent lie and I have nothing to do with the article and am not its author,” Peter added in the statement.

Although the opposition leader admitted having differences with Changson, he denied that such differences are personal saying they only have political differences which led to the split of the opposition group into two faction.

“I would like to confirm though that we have internal differences in the FDP party which ended in its division into two recently. There is no further relationship between me and Gabriel Changson’s faction of FDP, and differences were political and not personal,” he said.

“The real authors of the article should own up and use their real names instead of dragging my name falsely as the author of the article in their own personal conflicts in which I have no connection with the issues raised in the article or the personal matters in the article,” he further added.
