July 14th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The Intergovernmental Authority on Development, IGAD, on Thursday said it hails the progress so far made in the South Sudan peace talks in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, for the last few days raising hope for peace in the near future.

“I am happy to report that the South Sudan Peace Process has registered tremendous progress in Khartoum and Kampala. We are looking forward to finalize the agreements in Nairobi.” He said.

Maalim requested the Ethiopian premier to maintain the same position to address all the outstanding issues between the South Sudan parties.

“I take this opportunity to request the chairman of IGAD, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Dr. Ahmed Abiy, to maintain the same momentum in addressing all the outstanding issues in our region, particularly that of Eritrea and Djibouti.”

I think the peace agreement this time is going to be successful and I am hoping both sides have learned the mistakes which happen in 2016. The people who runs their mouths must be told to keep their mouths shut because the problem may harms innocents people. Having two armies in small country was the caused of J1, Palace dog fights in 2016 and must be avoided this time. Foreign influence is another thing our people must be careful because there is a need for South Sudanese themselves to find way of healing, reconciliation, repairing the damaged of relation for the stake of people, nation therefore, the South Sudanese are very likely to make acceptance themselves and the unity for all would be achieved.
