May 4th, 2018(Nyamilepedia) —– Speaking during the SPLM-IG National Liberation Council in the capital, Juba, South Sudan’s incumbent, Mr. Salva Kiir Mayar, today pleaded to his arch rival and the First South Sudan Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, to return home.
In what surprised many listeners and observers, President Salva Kiir added that Machar would be protected by the “Regional Protection Force” if he returns home.
“The Chairman of the SPLM, Cde. Salva Kiir Mayardit, surprised all members of the NLC at the closing session about 50 minutes ago by announcing that he has asked the IGAD ministers of foreign affairs who visited him last week that Dr. Riek Machar Teny should be allowed to return home to Juba, South Sudan where he will be given security by the RPF instead of trying to find a place for him in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Chad, or Djibouti.” Said Our correspondent at the Freedom Hall, Juba.
The incumbent, who is struggling to maintain power, said his SPLA-IG faction could protect Machar, however, due to mistrust between him and his main political opponent he would rather trust the Regional Protection Force to grant Machar protection.
According to President Kiir, Riek Machar’s return could expedite and ease the process of peace, dialogue, reconciliation and unity within the SPLM and also among the people of South Sudan.
This was the first time in more than four years for Mr. Kiir to acknowledge the important of an opponent he wished to kill less than two weeks ago.
Speaking during the burial of his late chief of defense forces, Gen. James Ajonga Mawut, President Kiir wished he killed Machar and his former political detainees either in 2013 or in 2016 when he had a chance to eliminate them, a speech that was seen as a major set back to South Sudan Peace and Reconciliation.
The recent statement has left many intellectuals doubting if President Kiir just want to lure his opponent to his chamber and persecute him or whether he means real peace.
“And I hear that President Kiir surprised people today at the closing meeting when he announced that he had just told IGAD leaders that he wants Riek Machar to come home and work on peace with his brothers and sisters. If this is true, and whatever General Kiir’s motives may be, he will have demonstrated true leadership and desire to rescue his country” Said Dr. Jok Madut Jok, who challenged his Gogrial Dinka tribesmen last week to force their son, Salva Kiir, to resign to save the country.
“He will have proven me wrong when I said this country will not move an inch in a positive direction for as long as Kiir is in office.” Dr. Jok continued.
“Never trust Kiir, Jok….It’s highly probable he wants to lure Dr Machar to Juba again to eliminate him….Kiir is dark-hearted and selfish….He has shown many times that he never cares about the country or his people” Said David Mayen in response to Dr. Jok’s statement.
“That’s all we want. We would love to see the two genuinely work together.” Said Ivan Aremo, another social media commentator.
It is yet to be seen if Machar would heed to Kiir’s call for his return; however, South Sudan’s main armed opposition, SPLM/A-IO which controls many areas in South Sudan, would have a major say on whether their chairman should return to Juba and when.
Machar Faces Deportation To Juba
In another controversial report, South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation’s news anchor, Mr. Garang John, announced that the former Vice President could be deported to Juba any time soon if he does not denounce violent.
“South Sudanese armed opposition leader, Dr. Riek Machar faces possible deportation back to Juba any time this month if he doesn’t denounce violence.” Garang John announced to his fan on social media.
It is not clear if Garang John was speaking for himself or for SSBC but the controversial journalist claimed that a South African friend revealed it to him.
Garang John has conveyed similar messages in the past against Machar, however, very little was established to be true.
So far, the two countries, South Sudan and South Africa, have denied responsibility in Machar’s house arrest in Pretoria.
On their part, South African’s government has told Machar many times that he is not under house arrest but being kept in their country for his own safety.

Dear ones, yes, there are sincere and fake news at the same time on the social media this recent days. Yes, if president Kiir, makes a decision to let his challenger in while recently it was a bitter statement that he regretted, and he would have killed the opponents whom he got a chance on. If the next now is in reverse it has to be proven that this decision has any good in it. Yes, someone would change his mind that possible but at what base or prove you should show to convince others or even the one you are trying to take in. Yes, May The Lord of Heaven who grants me favor hear me on this particular things until the eternal agenda is achieved. Indeed, I have never ceased until my vision brought to its fulfillment. It is my desire all what I need on behalf of others or me be wholly come to pass. Yes, I have already enjoyed most part of it and tasted it The Lord steadfast. The One who perfected on my path and clear it of thorns. Yes, if anyone is against anyone whom I support that individual is against me and I will use my given power to punish. I know people couldn’t believe this until it reaches their own skin and souls. Whoever survive will remember this that he is not joking or pretending anything that is not correct.
