May 30, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — The leadership and members of SPLM/SPLA [in Opposition] clarifies their position on the most anticipated IGAD-Plus peace talks that are expected to resume sometimes next month.

According to the Chairperson of National Committee for Information and Public Relations, captain Mabior Garang de Mabior, the armed opposition welcomes the next phase of negotiations, and further the invited nations including the TROIKA, which compromises of the “midwives”, the United Kingdom (UK), the United States of America(USA) and the Norway.

“The SPLM/SPLA is committed to the IGAD Peace Process; and further welcomes the new approach of IGAD-plus which shall include the Troika. The SPLM/SPLA welcomes any initiative that is geared towards finding a solution to the crisis in the country.” said Captain Mabior Garang,

“The SPLM/SPLA remains committed to the IGAD Peace Process, and respectfully urge the region and the world to use all means at their disposal to persuade our partners in peace to return to the negotiating table in good faith.” he further said.

The Opposition, however, reminds the regional bloc (IGAD), the international community and the South Sudanese people that Juba continues to violate the cessation of hostility agreement that were signed 15 months ago.

“The SPLM/SPLA would like to take this opportunity to remind the world that the Salva Kiir Administration has been in constant violation of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (CoH) signed on January 23, 2014. The forces of the SPLM/SPLA were in all the major towns of Greater Upper Nile Region of South Sudan.” Mabior said.

The opposition calls on the Salva Kiir administration to respect the CoH Agreement and accept the IGAD-plus peace mediation.

The SPLM/SPLA further calls on the continental body, AU, to avail its findings on South Sudan conflict to be used to expedite the next rounds of peace talks.

The son of SPLM/SPLA founder, Mabior, assures the SPLM/SPLA supporters that the armed Opposition is stronger than ever and that their “Movement is committed to finding a political settlement to the ongoing crisis”.

The warring parties have been constantly engaged in major battles in many parts of the country, displacing thousands of civil population, killing, abducting, rapping and setting many huts and turkuls on flames, specially in parts of Unity state.

According to credible reports by the United Nations, other NGOs and eye witnesses fleeing the affected areas, government troops lead the aggression and violations of human rights in these parts of the country.

In Jonglei and Upper Nile states, major battles have forced the government troops to vacate some of their strongholds including Malakal, the capital city of Upper Nile state and major towns around the only functioning Paluoch oil fields.

Although Juba has reclaimed some of these towns, it did not come without major sacrifices in term of death toll, military equipments and other national facilities including an helicopter and warships, in addition to grave human rights violations.

In other reports, the negotiators of the three main stakeholders; the GRSS, SPLM/SPLA and the SPLM-Leaders will convene in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from the 7th of June to consult on the resumption of IGAD-Plus peace talks.

Honestly I don’t think you have been In real practical war, you can asked all your cousins of primitive Nuer white Army and those who were In All Equatoria Operation in the 1990s.

So capturing oil Field by Riek and Olony militia is a suicide mission for them. Please don’t ever think again to starting the fire you can not stop. GatNor please note that this war of South Sudan Is a PROXY WAR FARE and you may know what I am talking about here.

I speak my words out and May God be with the people of South Sudan.

Amen amen.
Thank you very much.

Deng,

It is hard to imagine that the rebels can shut down the oil but you have to understand the rebels have engaged into a fighting for almost 2 years now. The rebels are very capable to capture Juba if they can go there but they will have to fight with Ugandans military that your father Slava killer invited to defend him.

Have you ever heard of a country which is ruled by another country like South Sudan? The President of Uganda is the one who defends South Sudan. Slava is just a puppet. Very shameful indeed to see South Sudan what we all fought for is under Uganda.

GatNor,

Please remember that all Your cousins of primitive Nuer white Army were defeated really cowardly eliminated: in Bortown, Gadiang, Poktap and Ayod and Bentiu and now Malakal.
GatNor honestly say, if primitive nuer white army can not hold their ground in all those places I just mentioned above, then that’s coward. GATNOR please explain to me the following few questions:
GatNor what happened to your mission march to Bortown and Juba? What happened to your mission march to Paloch Oil field?

I speak my words out and May God be with the people of South Sudan.
Amen amen

Thank you

GatNor,

I agree with you that shutting down the oil will weaken the regime in Juba so he can compromise with peace process. Innocent people suffer greatly so the government must sign for peace. Since the rebels are fighting for the voiceless so they have to make sure the government agrees to sign the really agreement.

Mr. GatNor
Please visit at South Sudan Melut war and click on battlefield and you will see two steamers that were taken by major general Johnson Olony from the government have been destroyed and they abandon these steamers because it was very hard for rebels .
To shut down Paloich Oilfield that, could cost many lives and it will be better for rebels to stayed away while, the moral of SPLA Pro Juba’s government is getting stronger every day

Olony possessed them at no cost in exchange for his loyalty that was dishonored by Juba militias who murdered Olony’s 2nd in commands. The government is liable fro those ferries they had destroyed. There are more where Olony got those ferries from.

AGUMUT & Abuchook,
Proxy the war is as we are all aware. Should SPLA-in Opposition bomb the oil ficilities to the ground the production will come to a halt denying Juba thugs financial leverage and those involved in the war can decide to continue funding Juba thugs from a proxy of their own pockets or come to negotiate a peaceful resolusion of the conflic. Either way we can all mutually get the bottom of the conflict once bothside are equally affected. With Machar not moving quick to shut down the oil or take the war to those thugs and their launching pads he risk being told to join those involved in the war from peripherals proxy or step a side altogather. Either than that you hypocritical cowards tribalists can cry about MNW, GatNor, Machar & that the Nuer and or Machar’s rebellion is this and that but the kingdom has nowhere else to possibily go but crumble to the ground with or without Machar & GatNor. The facts remain the same that the satan’s regime in Juba must go.

Abuchook, Deng II

SPLA IO has already shut down unity State Oil Field almost 2 yrs from now. Now as we speak SPLA IO stationed at Tangrial at the west and Kilo 20 at the south of Adar. In Malakal they are 3 kilometers a way from state capital what are you telling me. Governor Kun Puoc can never visit Malakal for now even all state officials are stationed at Paloch. More than 400 Chinese oil workers were evacuated back to China. What eld are you waiting? Now fighting has escalated to Bhar el ghazal and western Equatoria, you will fast the smell of war this time.

senseless to engage in argument with AGUMUT,DENG II,ABUCHOOK. Nowhere except South Sudan the world happened to have people with reverse logic. These elements will never admit at whatever cost. They will never tell you commandos are done, Dutku Beny are almost, Greater Bahr El Gahzal is vacant…….No SPLA battalion is there leave alone division to protect…………..but telling us government this government that and your overambitious but blind campaign of total extermination and annihilation of NUER (White Army,IO and Nuer civilians) in Greater Upper Nile. You fabricated your own coup and fainted it on Riek and sacrifice our fellow Nuer in Juba to start with………………………………….only some weeks later you fall in the hands of mighty White army butchered ruthlessly and had to call UPDF to rescue few that survive the barrel of these war veteran-(White Army). It was a revelation to UPDF who think they were to engage with guys like Al-shabaab. The UPDF had to go back to negotiation table………….they stated firmly they will defend cities- a good way to avoid White army. For sure encounter with white army is highly dreaded!
