US Secretary of states, John Kerry who is visiting East African region, has announced $5 US dollar to be used to establish a hybrid court for South Sudan’s conflict trials …

May 05, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — Frustrated by the conflict and violations of human rights in a country USA midwifed, the United States of America opts to work with the people of South Sudan and members of the International community to restore peace in the world’s youngest state.

Responding to an interview by the “eye radio”, the Secretary of States, Mr. John Kerry, made it clear that the USA and partners are “fed up” with the “so call leaders” who have neglected their responsibilities, and calls on the South Sudanese people to act accordingly.

“We are fed up with avoidance of responsibilities by the so called leaders of this conflict, on both sides,  and it is time for people to act responsibility” said John Kerry, the Secretary of States.

Kerry strongly denounces the continuation of war, citing that it destroys not just South Sudan but the region where the refugees are seeking refuge.

“what is happening is disgraceful, it is destroying not just the country, this newly born country in which all of us had much hopes, and such sense of possibilities,  but it is doing huge damage to the region where we have enormous number of refugees coming into Kenya and other places” Kerry added.

South Sudan Conflict Creates More Terrorists

While visiting Kenya, which has been hit hard by alshaab on his way to Somalia, Kerry warns that the South Sudan conflict brews extremists and makes fighting Somalian’s Alshaab harder.

“it is very disruptive, and it’s slows down the progress of efforts to fight back against Alshaab, against other terrorists standardise, it helps create more extremists, actually. It works against everybody’s interest” Kerry said.

When asked of the ways forward, Kerry replied that the US, Great Britain, UN and EU will work together to make real decisions to end the conflict in South Sudan.

“The TROIKA is going to push very hard the UN, the United States, Great Britain, and EU, all of us, are going to push very hard for some real decision making in these next days” he said.

Kerry began pushing his government and partners to come up with new mechanisms after he failed to persuaded President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar over his Christmas vacation in December 2014 to end the violence and form a transitional government.

“I spent most of my Christmas vacation last year on the telephone to President Kiir and to Riek Machar trying to persuade them to actually institute a ceasefire, which they didn’t do for Christmas.” Kerry continued.

“We have been deeply involved, we don’t talk about publicly every single day but we will continue to push hard and as I said it publicly here in this interview, we are going to raise the level of efforts in the course of next discussion” he added

The United States, which is deeply criticize for its involvement in creation of South Sudan, now calls on its partners to step up similar efforts to end the conflict in South Sudan.

In his recent interview, Kerry announced $5 millions US dollars that will be used to set a hybrid court in the region to initiate accountability process.

In addition, the Secretary of states has calls on the African Union to release its finding on South Sudan conflict, saying that you can’t hide atrocities.

“In principle there should be full disclosure, full accountability, that report should be made public. You know, you can’t hide atrocities” Kerry said.

Unlike in his 2014 visit, in which the United States leaned towards supporting the incumbent government of Salva Kiir, the United States has shifted its focus to stand with the innocent people, and not the leaders who are struggling for power.

Kerry apologizes to South Sudan’s citizens for what their leaders imposed on them, and promised that the international community will focus on the so-called leaders who steal from them, kill, and violate their rights.

“That could mean sanctions against individuals, not against the country, but against individuals who have hidden money away, hidden property away, who have literately stolen from the nation even if they are letting the nation kill itself. This is unacceptable and so we gona put additional efforts into that, I can assure you.” Kerry said.

While the SPLM/SPLA [IO] supports most of Kerry’s proposals, Salva Kiir government decries all sanctions, disclosure of African Union reports, and even the participation of TROIKA countries (US, GB and Norway) all together in IGAD-Plus peace talks that are expected to resume in the next few days.

In response, the government spokesman, Michael Makuei Lueth, objects the idea of accountability, arguing that his government is searching for peace and therefore accountability should wait.

“This is an unfortunate statement, especially at the time when we are in search for peace.  The most appropriate situation would have been to work for peace first, bring peace and, after peace, then you make people accountable.  Now it seems that the Secretary is putting the cart before the horse,” he said.

Makuei said that they have not failed to reach an agreement because his government still a partner in the peace talks that have dragged on for the last 16 months.

“It is unfortunate that people are fast in reaching that conclusion and saying that the parties have failed to reach an agreement.  If we had failed, we would have not been continuing talking.  So, we have not failed to reach peace, but we are in the process,” Makuei said.

A man who knows the values of human being can express his corncer about the suffering of the people of South Sudan. This is exactly what Mr Kerr tries to underlines above in his interview.
Kerr is very clear this time he comes to understand that government of South Sudan is the one who imposes the current war on the people of South Sudan and therefore would face acountability.

USA and others Torika Countries forelonging the time for nothing. If it was real sanction,it would been implemented, but it seem like jok from them.We know if the world failed to fine what is behind SS peace talk.Kenya,Uganda, and Rawdan are benefits from these crisise and they are once whom blocking the peace agreement exccept if you US give them one fullside which they must support. But with kiir in power as president no peace will be achieves fulstop

Kuong, those who have poor reasoning capacity call for sanction to south sudan, but for me i don,t see the way forward because sanction will ruin the peace process between both parties. let,s call USA and others Torika countries to work very hard for peace in south sudan instead of sanction

Those who will pay very big price are poor people, sanction will not affect Kiir and his elites.Take example of Fidel Castro, sanction against Cuba for over 50 years, but Fidel Castro didn’t give up.

Mr Agumut, don’t compare Castro brother to some illitrates rulers in southsudan. They(Castros brothers) are intellectual. Look where else.
The cuban leaders know, how, why, when, where,& what they are ruling.

Agamut
It’s quite clear you don’t understand the difference between Individual sanctions and sanctions against states.
In south Sudan they propose sanctions to Individuals obstructing peace and Justice. In Cuba they sanctions were to the whole nation as STATE SPONSORED TERRORIST.

Who do you think has a responsibility here? Riek Machar or Salva Kirr?
I believed both have big responsibilities to play, only one of them can change what is going on in the country.Salva kirr. He want to be called president, but doesn’t like responsibilities @ all.”i must always remain the president of this country” said Salva. In january 2014 in Ethiopia.

I don’t support sanctions because Sanction will not affect those big people in the government, only people big will pay very price. Those of Saddam Hussein and Mummar Qadhafi should have still alive today if they didn’t kick them out by force.

Accountability for crimes committed by people who are working daily in Juba should not wait. this war was imposed on the Naath/Nuer people because of the influences of the president Yoweri Museveni who truth USA like his own wife Jane Museveni who will never say no to yoweri Museveni.
Museveni give green light to president Kiir Mayadit from day one of the war to killed Naath/Nuer from houses to houses in Juba.

We the Naath/Nuer also are very suspicions about the behaviour of the United States during the war because USA midwife the birth of the Nation but fail terribly to provided guardianship to the RSS and let primitive Kiir do what ever he want like he fought the war alone.

All the atrocities committed by the government for all this period USA, UN and others were well aware but failed to acts and now they are calling for accountability on both sides.

why on both sides while everybody know that this war was planned and executed by Kiir and Yoweri Museveni in front of USA,UN and other nations but they fail to act waiting for Dr. Riek Machar and his people Naath/Nuer to be blame for depending themselves.
What a unfair world?

USA could have call for Uganda to withdraws their forces from South Sudan if they mean their words or did’t know the reason for UPDF entry to South Sudan.
Yoweri Museveni should also be held accountable for this war and his partner in crimes Mr. Kiir Mayadit for influencing Kiir and order him to eliminated all powerful people in South Sudan such as Dr. Riek Machar and others

The support of USA and other nations provided to RSS are not just for primitive Kiir Mayadit and Jaang/Dinka alone but all people of South Sudan who have suffered long enough on the hands of Arab in the North of Sudan.

However during this war, it look like USA is only supporting the Jaang/dinka leadership that is why they kept quite for long time waiting for Dr. Riek to sign peace that will make more Nuer to be killed in their homes like what happen in Juba in the eyes of the world and they failed to act.

Dr. Riek Machar will not sign peace that will allow Kiir to kill more people, he is well educated unlike Primitive Kiir. Dr. Riek know and care about the welfare of all south Sudanese including Dinka who hatred him to death but fail to killed him because Dr. Riek is from one of the strongest tribe in Africa when it come to the war tactics and strategies and that is why they manage to fight UPDF, JEM, SPLA-NORTH and other who are hiding under the umbrella of UPDF and UN who are building fences for Kiir forces in the greater Uppernile region for over 16 months without outside helps.
God is on our side.

Don,t cry of war imposed to you, you had been talking of war since Independence of south sudan that you will take power by force and yet you don,t know that taking of power by force kill many people from both side of the conflict. now when you are defeated you claim of war imposed to you how stupid are you rebels.

JEAN AMEN,
why your primitive president plus entire Dinka/Jaang are relying on Yoweri Museveni forces since December 2013 if you are men?
Why don’t you face Naath/Nuer by your own since you have plan and very well enough for this war by training your own militia of Jaang?

South Sudan doesn’t belong to you fool. it belong to all South Sudanese people include smallest tribe of our nation.

We are tried of directing your idiots since 1800 to the present day because of your slavery hearts of collaborating with outsider which is in your DNA.

This time around we will show you who are really the owner of the South Sudan for the benefit of the future generations.

I agree with you Sir. United State of America(European Imperialists) will come to realized that South Sudan is the wrong location to implement their standard practice of creating terrorist in the the preson of M7 & Kiir. They(US) also continue supporting tyranny and these dictators from behind the scenes and in public their officials speak in condemnation of both factions(Juba & the Oppositions). At the end it will work to their disadvantage once their present is no longer welcome in the region.

–The problem her is when the US’s present is no longer welcome in the region due to their suspicious activities causing intability in the region, they will turn around and label the people in that regionTERRORISTs when all the while their activities in the region constitutes terrorism.

First of all why are the US using Africans to fight US war on terror. Africa has a war on poverty not US’s created Al-shabaabs or Booko-Haram. US being link directly to Museveni and Kiir at this point becomes apart of the root cause or what continue to flamed South Sudan’s civil war. This is what the US should avoid being link or associated with instability in the region.

Another problem here is that the US will always find someone within the vicinity in which they(US) wish to create instability for one reason or the other. This is what worry me.

Thank you sir,
We are in the same page, these dictators, both Museveni and Kiir are supported by those countries that you mentioned but when they comes to the public they show different faces.

We will not rest until both of these dictators are out for good and in to the ICC for the war crimes they have committed since December 2013.

If Yoweri Museveni and Kiir are not convicted by ICC in the Hague than ICC convicted the former president of Liberia Mr. Charles Taylor for crimes that he was not involved in personally but Museveni have committed the war crimes in South Sudan in person by planning together with Kiir and executed their order again by sending in UPDF to fight along side Kiir militias.

Kiir and Museveni mush go together for peace to come back in the region, they are both evils worshipers who wish others deaths.

Mr. Kerry is now back in his full-senses after he has been mis-led by Juba’s Dinka thugs of Mr. Kiir for a long time. Now he realize that he was wrong on his Adis ababa statement against Dr. Machar and the people of S. Sudan whom Salva Kiir impossed this current war on them. That’s why he[Kerry] apologized finally. So, for those who still supporting the killing of S. Sudanese citizens by Salva Kiir, you should refrain from that because the world has now finally know that all fabricated news on alleged “cu atem” made by Salva Kiir were/are all lies intented to coveres the truth or facts.

Nuers people, if you believe that Kerry rhetoric are going to change any in South Sudan then you are delusional. The US, the UK and Norway intention in South Sudan is clearly known and that is to change the government of South Sudan and bring in their Riek Machar puppet and stooge, which is not going to happen.

South Sudan is not a US oversea territory and South Sudanese people are not the US subjects. The Nuers are behaving like the then so-called free Libyan army, free Syrian army and the Ukrainean skin-heads who were used by the US to the governments of those countries, but this is South Sudan.

The Nuers have been asking for *US military intervention into South Sudan, good luck with that though. Somalia and Libya will look better than South Sudan should any evil poke its long nose into South Sudan.

South Sudan will be better off like Somalia or Libya than to welcome the evil corporate America into our oil fields. The evil corporate America is using the Nuers as it proxy to get our oil fields, that its evil game isn’t going to succeed.

The US, the UK and Norway can bark all they want, but ultimately the bucks will stop with the South Sudanese people and not from some clowns in the US, the UK and Norway.

Their Riek Machar puppet would be installed into power in South Sudan when there is no single Dinka alive trust me. Riek Machar and his Nuer goons will be shot should they try to venture back into South Sudan.

There will be no power sharing with Riek Machar, whether some clowns like John Kerry wants it or not.

John Kerry was just posturing with his so-called 5 millions hybrid court, who will heed that rubbish? No one believes what that Kerry clown says these days. He and his boss Obama can issue threats, but they can go and fuck themselves with their threats.

The US has been acting like a South Sudanese people coloniser and this is unacceptable to South Sudanese people.

By the way, the real peace for South Sudan will not come from the hotels and brothels in ethiopia, but from inside South Sudan. All those nonsenses in ethiopia are not in the interest of South Sudan and the South Sudanese people, but for the interests of the US, the UK and Norway. And this is all a waste of time and resources.

Riek Machar and his sponsors in the US, the UK and Norway want a replication of the 2005 CPA, but no one would want that. Riek Machar himself will not be welcomed back to South Sudan and why some people still insist on those silly talks beggar a lot of questions.

You see! Makuei Lueth is among those destroying the country under Salva Kiir, pushing very much the president into grave. He shouldn’t be responding with obvious envy that shows how much he’s tribalizing himself. in fact, this war is a secret project of Kuol Manyang, Makuei Lueth and Malak Ayuen amongst others. It’s easily seen in their daily life comments or even official speeches and it’s not the way to go. We already a country which needs our collective support to make it a better place to be. Look at such a shame that’s being put on us worldwide. It shows how shameless our leaders are. Think big guys and stop hate comments here. let’s learn to be patriotic of our beautiful country, let’s stop being supportive to tribal & destructive leaders like some of the mentioned

I don’t know how these two (Coup and Sanction) words can be preached to Juba and Dinka elders? I think the problem is those of Agumut, Riak Koang, Ater etc whom have media accounts, when they read any things from media they translated it to Dinka language in opposite. 1- They are still talking about coup while the whole world including Uganda who participated military and many top officials in Juba governments dismiss coup. 2- International community is talking about individual sanction specially those who undermined peace talk, Dinka will preach the opposite telling people that international community are looking to sanction South Sudan. What a mess? NOW IN JUBA HERE WHEN EVER YOU TOLD MAKUEI LUETH THAT ”THIS IS A BULL HE WILL REPLY YOU THAT YES IT HAS A LOT OF MILK” Thanks God that John Kerry came back to his knee and apology on what he did last year in May

Thanks for your first comment concerning the West-USA in particular towards RSS conflict. The West is using their ally M7 to do its dirty work by involving in conflicts across East Africa, i.e Somalia and RSS. It’s the same USA that ordered M7 to rescue Kiir in December 2013. Their ill intention is known to most of us but the ignorant among our people help them play their dirty game. How in the world can you for instance condemn both warring parties equally when you clearly know who initiate the crises?

Brothers and sister, do not worry though, the Nuer will overcome these obstacles. Isaiah chapter 18 in the holy Bible is talking about Nations uniting against one tribe. God is on our side and we will soon see the light at the end of the channel. Please listen also to the Nuer musician by the name;Michael Pal Riek, “Kuoth Nhial kene piny ber guic ko ci döör dial ro maat ke ko”(2015 song). You can find the song in Youtube.

I want to repeated for myself about one things Mr John kerry mentioned, the apologise for entry citizens of South Sudan by kerry dignify the long speech and draw the attention of South Sudan activist simply because Mr John kerry the Secretary of state consumed his time with two rivals to have compromise for the sake of peace but he has forgotten one thing.
War was not a matter of position in the way I am looking for,yes before outbreak it was in term of leadership matter, but after outbreak war was not any longer as leadership problem it becomes tribal war with total violation of human right and committed total crime against the humanities.
So our secretary of state John kerry didn’t make a good research over South Sudan crisis, so I’m happy with John kerry with so points, particularly the information of hybrid court for accountability and then we will see how the possibility of peace should be,the concerned groups will face court of Justice and peace will continue without any obstacles.
