Feb 15, 2021(Nyamilepedia) — The world wants us to believe that inner peace is the result of outer calm. But it isn’t. Peace is the presence of God in the midst of whatever opposition or chaos we may be surrounded by.

The psalmist reminds us of this, saying, “Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident” (Ps 27:3). Peace like the little baby in the manger is a gift of God.

Our task is to make dwelling in God’s words, as we continue to work for peace, God will empower us to remain a person of peace even in turbulent times. As South Sudan is a country inhabited by many different ethnic groups, of which the most numerous one is the jieng (dinka). There are also many members of other community living in the Republic of Sudan. Before the two civil wars in Sudan, South Sudan people where been living in peace and harmony. But their problems might have emerges as a result of political conflict initiated by Islamic regime in Sudan and adopted by some South Sudan politicians who managed to divided the country along ethnic line for example “KOKORA 1983 of Joseph Lagu and 1991, 2013 and 2016 of Dr Riek Machar making”.

The regime in Sudan has introduced incommunicable conflicts between our communities who lived in peaceful environments that time. These attitudes of dividing and rules have been continuing until the peace signed between the SPLM/A and the government in Khartoum in 2005. Since then the communal fights continues and the death toll is untold, and the level of destructions is unjustified.
In the past the Jieng doesn’t have political, economic and social centralisation and one organisation that administer and to manage their affairs. But they arrange themselves into numerous independent groups but interlinked clans. Some of these clans have traditionally provided ceremonial chiefs known as beny bai and beny bith (masters of the spiritual spear). When the problems arisen between the jieng, or with other community members the chief in charge, the elder and the spiritual leader could quickly intervenes to stop fights and prevent its escalation and the chiefs are able to resolve the problems in their jurisdictions and beyond.

In the past agricultural was the only traditional way of Jieng economical surviving and in addition to cattle rising, and milk productions. Today for trading and subsistence purpose jieng declined to grow both food and cash crops and because of economic deficiencies, and lack of employments, crimes as to commenced at higher level and become uncontrollable and thus communal fights emerge and the nation insecurity become the main problems.

For crimes to be reducing or controlling, the government must empower the justice agents and the rule of laws must be apply and the government to provides all essential services to the needed. Also community must be engage in production of food crops instead of dependency on foreign aids.
The government should also empower the traditional chiefs so that they are able to deal with their internal problems.

As we write, the lost of jieng culture as well as norms, and values and the lack of employment and because there was no provision of essential services such as education, health care centres, roads, and political conflicts as well as economic hardship clean water, are the sources of the current communal conflicts in south Sudan.

As the life lost continue, properties destroyed to the harsher, and because of such devastations, and the level of frustrations has reach higher and the security continue to deteriorate, we proposed that peace is the only option to jieng community and the government. Because peace has been consider as the only option to jieng community to live in harmony, the National Interim Chair of jieng administration task to unite Jieng global is planning to organised Jieng peace conference hold in South Sudan and Diaspora in 2021.

The initiative came after deadly communal conflicts erupted in South Sudan between 2010 and 2020. We aim to resolve the fate of jieng failure, which could also driven the failure of the nation. As a matter of facts, peace initiative sometimes doom and matter and the opening move in negotiating is aiming an end to conflict and thus to achieve everlasting peace in the country”.

The purpose of the conference is to bring peace among the members of the warning jieng communities in South Sudan through dialogues. We aim to engage, members of jieng youth and women and any other persons or individuals who are involves in such behaviours to join (Jieng-Jieng dialogues) initiative for attending all the meetings or events.

In order for this important program to success, we want national business people, international humanitarian organisations, government agency, NGOs, UN and churches to provide financial, security and materials and logistical, accommodations, transport support for such activities until the end of the program.

Before the peace program to kick-off in 2021, first we will be meeting with sub/jieng community leaders, Jieng Council of Elders, office of the President, the security personals, members of parliament, as well as some of the Governors. Also we will be meeting with some government ministers and officials and the UN office and with some diplomatic missions in Juba to explain to them about the important of the program.

Through our works, we aim to honor (Jieng) power and we want to transform and re-create their lives and their children’s lives. I inspired by your bold, heroic, unending valour in welcoming our initiative.
New Jieng Peace Initiative which release program-driven global policy outline, with a new Jieng administration and demands for ethnic justice and defunding the politicians interests and the opportunist, warlords generals or warmongers, a new jieng peace initiative led by Mr Aguer Barac Kuot Rual has released a Vision for jieng and non jieng peace: -building program driven global policy for 2021

This inventive outline vividly reimagines Jieng global policy built on intersectional jieng values driven by communal efforts. For this fundamental effort, we can choose to maintained the failed status quo or imagine a safer improved, and more justifiable future. We can choose not to allow violence and greed to injunction our lives or we can choose a new path that reset the jieng relationship with the rest of the community and heartens us all, and the choice is obvious.

We will be inspired to welcome those who are willing to contribute to our strategic framework in line with our anti-communal values and goals and accountability. We are a global movement of jieng mobilising to end the jieng –jieng and non jieng wars, reunite families and ensure jieng local chieftains and leaders are involves in peace-building through education, advocacy and organising.

We are community organisation that would like to partnership with the human’s right organisations and humanitarian organisations and the communities who are active to helping end war, famines and national disaster worldwide. We are working to bring to an end war at home and work towards a just transition to an anti-violent organisation and involve them to engage in developmental programs.

The jieng are discussing peace among them because they are involved in a war, they will be talking to each other in order to try to end their long conflicts that has caused economical hardship and social life’s damages. We hope the treaty will bring peace and stability to the nation. If there is peace in a country, there are no wars and violent conflicts going on. As much local failed peace has been made so far, our initiative is campaigning for peace and against spread of guns in the hands of the civilian populations. If we disapprove of the uses of guns, we can use peace to refer to campaigns and other activities intending to stop supporting their use.

If we have peace, we are not disturbed and you are in calm, quite surroundings. All I want jieng to have some quite and peace environments in the country so that essential services could happen and repaid developments take place across the nation. If you are a feeling of peace, you feel contented and calm and not at all worried. Therefore, you can say that you are also at peace. I had wonderful feeling of peace and serenity when I saw you greeting and working together normally. The peace of Lord is always with you.

I know jieng will never be at peace until you have discovered where your brother’s life and properties lost during the war. If there is peace among a jieng and non-jieng people, they will be able to living or working together in a friendly way and they will not quarrel again. If the jieng are living or working together they are in peace. The period of a relative peace in South Sudan would create employments and services delivery.

The donations organisation and the government of the Diaspora nations would be providing would be used and projected to the developmental projects such as health, education, road and small business support to enhance living of innocent citizens by way of productions of cash and non cash crops.
The Diaspora peace delegations from USA, Canada, Europe and Australia would arrive South Sudan in mid February 2021 from USA.

We are looking for your positive quick response.

Best regard
