The former powerful chief of Staff has experienced two major break-ups this year, one with the main opposition movement alliance and another from within his barely established three-year old party, SSUF/A.

Malong felt off with the South Sudan Opposition Movement Alliance (SSOMA) in October this year leading to his dismiss from SSOMA and later on felt off with his Secretary General Dr. Sunday de John who broke away with youth politicians to form his own party.

According to the latest statement from Gen. Paul Malong, the chairman has pardoned those who wish to return to SSUF/A
