Minister of peace building Par Kuol meets President Salva Kiir

Sep 25, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s Minister of Peace Building, Stephen Par Kuol, met president Salva Kiir today to present the structural establishment of the Ministry.

The meeting at the State House was also attended by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Hon. Martin Elia Lomoro.

Speak to the media after the meeting, the Minister of Cabinet affairs, Elia Lomoro said “this is the first time for the Minister of Peace Building to brief President Salva Kiir since his appointment to the Revitalised Transitional Government of National Unity.”

On his part, the Minister of Peace Building Stephen Par said, he also presented to President Salva Kiir some of the challenges they are facing as a new ministry.

Hon. Par added that he will also present the structural establishment of his Ministry to the Council of Ministers meeting.

Par, who is charged with the Peace Building role, is one of the senior politicians from the SPLM/A-IO under the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny.

While peace implementation is making baby-steps progresses, violence remains very frequent in many parts of the country including the capital, Juba, were two government officials were killed on Wednesday.

In states like Jonglei,Warrap, Lakes, Central Equatoria and Unity State inter-communal violence continue to claim many lives.
