Dr. Lam removes his military chief

August 5, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – Prominent opposition and National Democratic Movement (NDM) leader Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin has removed his military chief, General Nicodemus Deng Deng.

In an order seen by Nyamilepedia, Dr. Lam Akol who did not state the reasons for Deng’s removal as chief of staff also thanked and praised the military officer for his service during his tenure.

“By this, Lt General Nicodemus Deng Deng is relieved from his position as the Chief of Staff of the NDM forces with immediate effect,” reads a statement signed by Dr. Akol who is also the commander in chief of the group’s military forces.

“The Chairman and C-in-C thank the outgoing chief for the service he has rendered to the forces of the NDM,” Dr. Lam further wrote.
