First Vice-President aide dies in a local hospital in Juba

August 14th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A senior aide of South Sudan’s First Vice-President Taban Deng Gai has passed away in Juba this morning according to an announcement by the FVP.

Lt. Col. Wol Mourwel who passed at South Sudan hospital in the capital Juba was working as a the director of IT in the office of the First Vice-President.

The sickness which led to his death was not disclosed but the FVP who extended condolences said in a statement that the late died while undergoing treatment in Juba.

It is with a profound sense of sadness and loss that I learned of the untimely death of Lt. Col. Wol Mourwel that occurred today in Juba while he undergoing medical treatment at the South Sudan Hospital,” the FVP said in a statement seen by Nyamilepedia.

His passing on leaves a painful void that will be difficult to fill As we mourn him, we celebrate a legacy of a patriotic young man who served his fellow citizens with love and respect,” he added.

I would like to express my most sincere condolences to the family of the Lt. Col. Wol Mourwel, his friends and acquaintances. My family and I ask you to join us in prayer for his family May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
