“UNHCR leads an assessment mission to Morobo County in Yei …. in collaboration with South Sudan’s Commission for Refugee Affairs (CRA), United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), and UNOCHA undertook a mission to Panyume, Morobo County area to assess the caseload of asylum seekers who became isolated during the outbreak of conflict in 2016,” the statement partoy read.

“The major protection concerns identified include insecurity, access to education, recruitment of children by armed forces, SGBV, access to healthcare, water, and food,” it added.

Despite the sharp decline in clashes between the parties to the conflict, issues related to food and insecurity have pushed families into worse conditions, leaving them without any means of livelihood.
