Sudan’s ruling military junta releases Arman, colleagues

June 10th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The ruling Sudan Transitional Military Council (TMC) has released detained armed opposition leaders, the state-ran Sudan News Agency (SUNA) said in a brief statement.

The deputy leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – North (SPLM-N) Yasir Arman was arrested last week by the Sudanese authorities following warnings for him to leave the country.

Later on, the country’s ruling military council arrested the group’s Secretary-General Ismail Jalab and spokesman Mubarak Ardol.

All from Yasir Arman, Khamis Jalab and Mubarak Ardol have been released,” the SUNA statement said.
