South Sudan security arrests man in Wau over verbal anti-Kiir remarks

May 23rd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s National Security Service (NSS) has arrested a man in Western Bahr Al-Gazhal’s Wau town after he was accused of verbally insulting President Salva Kiir Mayardiit, a family member has said.

The man identified as Arop Ngor reportedly said, according to the family member,  Kiir is a bush man who has no clue about running a country.

“The people who were with him at Hajar market told us that he called Kiir a bush man who has no any idea about running a country,” the family member who declined to be named told the Nyamilepedia from Wau on Thursday afternoon.

He said three members of the NSS came to a shisha shop and aarrested him adding that he was arrested alone and was taken to an unknown location.

He said the family are still looking for his where about saying the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon.
