May 21st 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s protest organizer, the Red Card Movement, said in a statement that the government of President Salva Kiir is targeting members of the group in South Sudan.

The statement also alleged that the government is as well targeting members in neighboring countries including Egypt by sending members of the country’s national security to deal with them there.

….the government is now involved in a series of targeting RCM leaders, and its members inside South Sudan and beyond the country,” a statement issued by the group said.

“We registered our disappointments and ask the government of South Sudan to stop the national security from targeting our members in Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, and Arabs republic of Egypt,” the statement added.

The statement further urged authorities in Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt to protect members of the groups who have seen safe haven following the eruption of civil war in South Sudan.

We, therefore, ask the authorities in those countries to protect the young people who are there to express their frustrations to their government in a peaceful manner under the law,” the statement added.
