South Sudan journalist named among world’s greatest leaders

April 23rd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan journalist, Anna Nimiriano, who is the editor-in-chief of the independent daily, Juba monitor, has been named one of the greatest leaders of the world by an international magazine.

The Fortune Magazine named Nimiriano one of the leaders due to his courage to speak up against effects of the ongoing civil war ranging from gas shortage and death threats by members of South Sudan’s organized forces.

“When security forces hauled a colleague to jail and told her to shut down the paper, she persuaded them to release him and let her publish.” the Magazine said of Nimiriano.
