Aweil: “Security Arrangements Must Be Completed Before Dr. Machar Returns To Juba”

April 20th, 2019(Nyamilepedia) —- Officials of the SPLM/A(IO) of Northern Bhar El Ghazel Federal State, headquartered in Aweil, responded to President Salva Kiir’s invitation of South Sudan’s First Vice President Designate, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of the SPLM/A in Opposition.

A political affairs advisor of SPLM/A IO of Northern Bhar El Ghazel Federal State, Aweil, calls on South Sudanese warring parties, especially the government, to prioritize Security Arrangement more than physical presence of Dr. Riek Machar Teny in the capital, Juba.

“The Sudan people Liberation Movement in opposition under the Charismatic and visionary leader, the designated First vice president of the republic of South Sudan, H.E.Dr Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon will Not accept the irrelevant invitation that was extended by president Salva kiir Mayardit to come to juba for the formation of the revitalized transitional government of national unity by 12 May.” said Dut Majokdit, the SPLM/A IO Northern Bhar El Ghazel federal state Aweil political Affairs Advisor.

“The Parties To The Agreement must prioritize The security arrangement before The unity Government is formed” Majokdit continued.

The official reminds the parties that the following should be completed before the warring parties rush to form another shaky government of national unity that may collapse any time.

 1.”The Parties To The Agreement must prioritize The security arrangement before The unity Government is formed such As The Training of unified Security forces and integration All forces to National unified Army to protect the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement and the people of the republic of South Sudan;

2.”Demilitarization Of National capital Juba and other major cities in the country as well as civilians areas so that our people who were displaced should return back to original homes and start resettlement process;

3.”All Non south Sudanese army forces must leave the country and The regional protection force are deployed according to the revitalized Peace agreement in South Sudan to accelerate the process of implementation and The current recruitment by Juba Government in part of Greater Bhar El Ghazel must cease immediately;

4. “The determination of the states in the republic of South Sudan and restructuring of the council of states by the independent boundaries commission (IBC) before we talk about the formation of the government;

5.”the constitutional amendment Not yet completed by the committee to Guarantee the devolution of more powers and the resources to States and Local government during the interim period;

6. Political detainees are still in blue house in juba and state of emergency is still holding . Therefore the Call of the SPLM/A IO Leadership for extension of pre transitional period for another six months is Not The Delayement To peace and stability in the country but To Complete”

“The tyranny regime in juba must know that our people are tired of war and they’re yearning for peace.” he continued.

Majokdit assures the people of South Sudan that the leadership of SPLM/A(IO) is committed to full implementation of the peace agreement.

“I want to assure The People of the republic of South Sudan that The SPLM/A IO under the Leadership of H.E.Dr. Riek Machar Teny is committed to full implementation of negotiated settlement to settle crisis and to realized the political settlement in South Sudan .” He said.

“To All my comrades in the struggle there’s no easy work to freedom. Let’s continue waging the struggle for peaceful society and establish of good governance that represents the will of the people because the nation is for all” Majokdit concludes.
