April 18th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The Unity state community association in Kenya has called for a postmortem examination for General Peter Gatdet’s body.

On Monday, General Peter Gatdet Yaka, the leader of South Sudan United Movement (SSUM) and de facto leader of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) died of heart attack in the Sudanese capital Khartoum according to relatives and aides.

In a letter addressed to the South Sudan Opposition Alliance faction led by Peter Gatdet, the unity state community requested the opposition umbrella and other “relevant” authorities to do the investigation on what exactly caused Gatdet’s death.

“Without much ado, we write requesting South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) and other relevance entities to find ways and means to do postmortem for Peter Gatdet[‘s body] with a view to ascertain the real cause of his death,” partly read the letter signed by the community chairman, Dak Buoth Riek-gak.

“If postmortem is done by independent and competent Pathologists, it will clear our throats of the doubt we holds,” the letter added pointing to: “General Peter Gatdet was not heard complaining of health problems of late.”

A postmortem assessment or examination is an investigation of a body to determine the cause of death. It is carried out by a physician trained in pathology.
