March 8th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The Reconstituted Transitional Government of National Unity (R-TGONU) will not be formed by 12 May if the unified army would not be in place by then,  a senior government official said on Thursday.

South Sudan’s cabinet minister,  Elia Lomoro who was speaking to the Voice America’s South Sudan In Focus said the government will not be formed if the unified army is not in place.

“That is a condition for the establishment of the transitional government. Without that force, the Transitional Government of National Unity will not be formed. And this is important to all the parties to the agreement,” Lomoro told the VOA’s South Sudan In Focus.

South Sudan has been complaining of lack of funds to carry out pretransitional activities which should be there before the transitional government is in place.
