Malong unveils first provisional leadership for South Sudan United Front

February 18th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s former army chief Gen. Paul Malong Awan Anei who is also the leader of the South Sudan United Front (SSUF) has unveiled a national leadership committee for the rebel group.

“By the authority vested in me as Chairman and Commander-In-Chief [of the] South Sudan United Front/Army, by the first sitting of the leadership and Command and as part of SSUF/A effort to organize its leadership, command and the rank and file, I, Gen. Paul Malong Awan, hereby order for the establishment of the National Executive Committee (NEC),” Malong said in a order seen by the Nyamilepedia on Monday.

Malong established a “Provisional National Executive Committee” that will comprise fifteen (15) secretaries and three (3) deputies, women, youth,and student desks, all of whom will make up his shadow cabinet.

According to the order, David Nok Marial has been named as the Secretary-General, Defense and Security, Malek Mathiang Malek, as Legal Affairs and Constitutional Development, Lau Dau, External Affairs and Diplomacy.

Sunday de’John to maintain his current position as Information and Communication Technology, Edward Mboriman as Political Affairs and Mobilization, Peter Akon as Finance and Economic Affairs, Omer Isahg as Education, Nyamach Nyang Chol for Gender and Social Welfare and to also deputize the head of Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy.

Thomas Lion Kulang as Secretary for Training and Research, Manyok Abraham Syndicate Organization, Joseph Ayok Anei for Health, Mario Malong Deng for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief.

Janyang Gatjiath Thoat as Agriculture and Commerce. James Kuol Deng to Deputize Political Affairs Mobilization. Angelo Dhieu Arik as Deputy Education and Makoi Majak Luk as the head of the student league.
