January 4th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President,  Salva Kiir Mayardiit, has reassured the Sudanese President, Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, of his support in a letter delivered to him on Thursday.

The message from Al-Bashir’s South Sudanese counterpart which was delivered by Kiir’s Advisor on Security,  Tut Kew Gatluak, came few days after the Sudan was hit by violent protests calling for end of Al-Bashir’s almost 30-year old rule.

“President Omar al-Bashir received a letter from South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit on the bilateral relations and means of boosting them and reassuring the situation in the country after the recent events,” Sudan’s official news agency,  SUNA said in a report.
