October 31st 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – An advance team of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) led by the country’s former First Vice-President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon has left the Sudanese capital Khartoum for Juba this morning ahead of Machar.
Yesterday, several sources told the Nyamilepedia that the team which is travelling today would be in Juba on Tuesday with Machar arriving on Wednesday.
Machar later in the day will leave a high-level delegation of the SPLM-IO team to Juba to participate in the National peace celebrations day organized by the South Sudan government.
the occasion will also be attended by several regional heads of state and governments among many international dignitaries including representatives of the Troika.
SPLM-IO Director of Information and Public Relations Puok Both Baluang announced on his Facebook page that he is already on board leaving for Juba ahead of Machar.
Another source said Machar himself is expected to arrive in Juba at 12pm his afternoon in company of Sudanese President Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir.
“Ma character will be there in [Juba] at 12:00 this afternoon. Bashir will go with him to guarantee his safety,” the sources said from Khartoum.
