Death toll rise in inter-communal violence in Terekeka state

October 18th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – Death told for the inter-communal clashes which took place last week between pastoralists in Terekeka state has risen to 23, sources have told the Nyamilepedia on Thursday.

Over the weekend, inter-communal violence killed atleast 18 people threatening the state with a sharp communal violence along family lines.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Terekeka State Minister of Information, Domic Ladu, 18 people have been killed during the initial fighting last week.

“We have confirmed the killing of 18 people and several injuries in the inter-communal fighting,’’ said Information Minister Dominic Ladu on Wednesday.

The inter-communal fighting fitted the Mundari Kobura and Mundari Nyangwara.

Cattle rustling and ethnic differences  among the local buy real alprazolam people are some of the leading causes of violence in South Sudan.

Since the country got its independence in 2011, the Government has not handled issues relating to cross border theft between the local pastoralists in South Sudan.

South Sudan has been mired by years of political rivalries between South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Former Vice-president Dr. Riek Machar Machar Teny, who’s leading an armed rebellion against South Sudan Government.

The conflict has so far claimed lives of nearly 400,000 people according to a report released early this month by the UN.

The two leaders among other opposition groups signed a peace deal in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, he agreement raised hope that the ongoing civil war may come to an end.
