Gen. Ruai Kuol returns to Khartoum after India tour

September 11th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The former SPLM-IO Unity State governor Gen. Ruai Kuol Jal  who is now leading a separate rebellion has returned to the Sudanese capital Khartoum following a “political” tour to India, close aides have said.

One aide told the Nyamilepedia on the condition of anonymity that the leader of National People’s Alliance Movement (NPAM) Gen. Kuol had left for india on August 26 and has been on a political mission which he did not specified.

“Yes the Chairman and Commander in Chief has returned from the Indian mission. He went to India on August 26th 2018 on a political mission which I will not tell you,” the aide told the Nyamilepedia on the condition of anonymity on Monday.

Gen. Kuol  was recieved at the airport by the group’s Chief of Staff Gen. Madit Gal Doh as well as other senior rebel officials including the group’s Commissioner of Rubkona County Tuach Majiek Zioyier.

Gen. Ruai was the SPLM-IO governor of Unity State until his dismissal by Machar in 2017 following a unexpected reshuffle within the group’s gubernatorial leadership.

Following his dismissal,  Kuol then defect and formed his own group known as the National People’s Alliance Movement/Forces (NPAM/F) with the aim of fighting the regime in Juba.
