September 4th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s warring parties,  the South Sudan government, the SPLM-IO led by former First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny and the South Sudan Opposition Alliance led by Changson Lew have signed the implementation matrix on security arrangements.

South Sudan’s information minister Michael Makuei Kueth announced the new development on Sunday night lauding the security committee for accomplishing it’s task.

“The security arrangements committee accomplished its task and they have initialled the agreement. This is a great achievement and this is a clear indication of the ability of the members of the committee and their competence to do the job,” Makuei said.

He said he is wishing other committees in doing the same in the nearer and shorter possible future.

“We wish that the other members of the committees, the other two committees will accomplish their task,” he said.

South Sudan government and opposition groups signed a peace agreement in August to end the ongoing conflict in the country but parties had to remain in Khartoum to discuss issues not agreed upon by the parties.
