August 14th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s former army chief of staff Gen. Paul Malong Awan said on Monday that South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit must be removed through a revolutionary mechanism saying this will never happen through democratic process.

Malong was praising a Troika statement about the ongoing Khartoum peace process whom they said lack guarantees that it will work as desperately needed by the suffering population of the world’s youngest country.

In the statement which he signed and issued on Monday, Malong said President Salva Kiir is determined to remain in power without the will of the people and will keep perpetuating the war to undermine democracy, good governance and rule of law.

“President Salva Kiir Mayardiit is determined  to remain in power for life despite visible inability to restore peace. Nonetheless, he is determined to continuously keep on perpetuating the war and economic downturn with complete withering of democracy, good governance and rule of law,” Malong said in the statement

Malong further said for the democratic values, good governance and rule of laws to be realized in South Sudan, Salva Kiir must be hosted by forces through revolutionary mechanism citing his unwillingness to accept democratic reforms in the young African nation.

“For these virtues to be realized and effected, this war profiteer should be removed though revolutionary mechanism since he won’t allow for any democratic process to be conducted,” Malong said.

He adding that “His (Kiir) regime needs complete overhaul to allow system reform.”
