July 25th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s former SPLA chief of staff Gen. Paul Malong Awan Anei says the country will never experience the much needed peace under the leadership of President Salva Kiir Mayardiit.

Malong’s statement, followed a statement by the government of the United States of America in which the world’s powerful country threatened to reconsider supporting the ongoing peace process citing lack of commitment by President Salva Kiir to end the war.

In a statement issued last week, Malong hailed the United States for not turning her back to the people of South Sudan who has been subjected to inhumane suffering by the leadership of the incumbent Salva Kiir Mayardiit.

“Having registered our concerns, we are also expressing that we are grateful to the United States of America because of not turning her back to South Sudanese people and in this regard,” Malong said in the statement signed by himself.

He said the United States should note that the country under Kiir will never experience peace and he said the later keep on perpetuating war which he said will prevent him from ending the ongoing civil war because it benefit him.

“The United States should note with keen interest that South Sudan headed by Salva Kiir Mayardiit will never experience peace and economic development. Instead, it will remain as a stagnated country defined by suffering of all sorts ranging from curable diseases to hunger, war and massive displacement,” Malong further said.
