SPLM-IO consultations under way in Khartoum to decide on Ugandan proposal

July 8th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) under the leadership of the country’s former First order valtrex pills Vice-President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon is making consultations in the Sudanese capital Khartoum to deliberate on the Entebbe proposal that was presented by the Ugandan leader on Saturday.

President Museveni, Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir on Saturday unveiled a peace proposal to Kiir and Machar. Kiir accepted the proposal and Machar accepted in principal and asked for a break to consult with his group.

The proposal seek to establish a transitional government of national unity that would be led by Kiir and Machar as the President and the First Vice President respectively. According to the proposal, the incumbent first vice president Taban Deng Gai and the incumbent vice president James Wani Igga would be the second and the third vice president respectively and the other opposition groups would appoint the fourth vice president who must be a woman.

Speaking to the Nyamilepedia on Sunday, the SPLM-IO Director of Information and Public Relations Puok Both Baluang said consultations are under way for the movement to deliberate on the proposal.

The proposal also seek to maintain the current 30 ministers but a number of 15 be formed ten of whom would be given to Machar’s SPLM-IO.
