June 15th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s President sworn-in on Wednesday the new Director General of Nationality Passports and Immigration in Juba and the ceremony was administered by the country’s Chief Justice, Chaan Reec Madut.

In a statement by the Presidential Press Unit on Tuesday, Kiir also sworn-in the Deputy Chairperson of Demobilization and Re-integration Commission as well as six newly appointed Ambassadors.

“President Salva Kiir Mayardit witness the oath taking of the Director General of Immigration, the Deputy Chairperson of Demobilization and Re-Integration Commission as well as six Ambassadors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, administered by Chief Justice Chan Reech Madut,” the statement said.

Kiir appointed Obwaha Claude Akasha, as the new Deputy Chairperson of Demonization, Disarmament and Re-Integration, and the new Ambassadors are; Elijah Tut Bikot, Adil Elia Okumundu Sandrai, James Mawich Bichiok, Lubna Abdelgani Babiker, John Yak Jany and Agok Anyar Madut.

General John Akot Maluth, who served as the Gogrial Police Commissioner, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General by the President who is also the supreme commander of all organized forces and named him the head of the government agency to replaced Gen. Majak Akech Malok who was appointed by the President to the position in February 2018

The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by the country’s first Vice-President Taban Deng Gai, Daniel Awet Akot and other members of Kiir’s government.
