June 12th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The former deputy governor of the Terekeka state, Clement Maring Samuel, said his properties have been confiscated by the state governor, Juma Ali Malou, under whom he was serving as a deputy governor saying the later betrayed him to the military intelligence and accused him that he was planning to overthrow the government.
In a statement extended to the Nyamilepedia on Tuesday, the former deputy governor who also served as the state minister of Education for the defunct Central Equatoria state, said he was forced to flee the country for Uganda in 2016 flowing disagreements over “unhealthy” working relations with his former boss, governor Juma Ali Malou.
“I was forced to flee the country in 2016 by the former Governor of Terekeka State Juma Ali Malou. He had accused me to the Military Intelligence (MI) and National Security (NSS) that I was planning to overthrow the president while serving under him as Deputy Governor,” he said.
He said he had to tender his resignation to the former boss given the unhealthy relationship between himself and the governor.
“Given that unhealthy working relation, and other reasons in his administration, I tendered my resignation from his government in May 31, 2016, and joined University of Juba to pursue my PhD studies. I was interrupted to continue with my studies by several death threats from security personnel recruited by the Governor. I was forced to leave the country against my will because my life was at risk,” he further said in the statement.
Beside being killed or harmed, he said he left the state and the country to avoid fight between his supporters and supporters of governor Juma Ali Malou claiming that he command the wondrous support of the Mundari people.
The former deputy governor said his houses and shops have been confiscated by the State National Security adding that the same security service tried to close down his Petrol Station in Juba but could not succeed as the one renting it is related to the National Security chief Akol Koor.
“They closed down my personal house at Hai Wehda in Terekeka town which was rented by SPEDP Organization for education and peace in the State. They forced the staffs of the organization to vacate the house within two days staring from 5th to 6th 2018. That house is now under the authority of the National Security of the State. They also closed down my three rooms Block shop in Terekeka market. The shops were rented as a Pharmacy which is serving the people of the State. They attempted to close down my petro-station in Juba but they could not succeed because the person who is renting the petro station is related to the national security chief General Akol Koor,” he further said.
