June 5th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – Youth organization from South Sudan’s President Kiir’s home-state, Gokrial, said, in a confidential letter addressed to President Kiir on May 24th, that the former SPLA chief of general staffs Gen. Paul Malong Awan who formed an armed rebellion against South Sudan’s Kiir in March was innocently pushed to rebel against the government.

The confidential letter signed by the Youths leader, Nella Achuek Mabior Achuil, urged president Salva Kiir to reduce enmity against and negotiate with Gen. Pauil Malong Awan and bring him back to the government in a different capacity as the head of the country’s intelligence to replace Akol Kor.

“Your Excellency, I know it is not right at my capacity to advice elder [s] but since I trust you, I want you also to reduce enmity by negotiating with people who were innocently pushed to rebellions like Gen. Paul Malong and reinstate them to some positions like we earlier recommended Gen.Paul Malong Awan,” the youth leader wrote in the confidential letter obtained by the Nyamilepedia.

The youths leader accussed the country’s inteliigence chief of obliterating Kiir’s relationship with many close allies to the South Sudan’s leader including the former army chief among many others.

“Secondly, Gen. Akol Kor obliterated your relationships with some of your friends like Telar Ring and Gen.Paul Malong because he always fabricates propaganda and false information which misled you and public at large. It is unfortunate that Gen. Akol and his friend Dr Albino Bol, the President of South Sudan National Youth Union push many people to rebellions and live examples were: Agel Ring, Manut Yel, Deng Cirillo, Gen.Paul Malong, Amb.Telar Ring, Ajang Ajang Lino and many others,” the female youth leader said in the letter.

The letter also accused the head of the country’s intelligence, the minister in office of the president, minister of national security, Governor of Gokrial State, President of South Sudan Youth Union, director of political vision and national services of working for the failure of Kiir’s government.

“This let me feel intrepid to take this opportunity to bring into your attention that some of your cabinets are working for the downfall of your leadership. For instance Hon. Mayiik Ayii Deng, Minister in the Office of President, Hon. Gen. Obote Mamur, Minister of National Security Services, Gen. Akol Kor Kuc, Director of National Security, Dr Albino Bol Dhieu, President of South Sudan National Youth Union, Hon. Victor Atem Atem, Governor of Gogrial State and Gen. Abud Stephen, Director of political division, National Services,” the letter said.
