Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Ugandan President in Juba to attend SPLM NLC meeting today

May 3rd 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – Egyptian foreign minister Sameh Shukri and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has just arrived in the South Sudanese capital Juba this morning ahead of the SPLM party National Liberation Council meeting this mornig.

The northern African country’s foreign minister will be attending the SPLM opening session on behalf of the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi and Museveni will be representing his country upon an invitation by the ruling SPLM faction which was extended to “a limited number of African leaders who are guarantors for the Arusha reunification accord which is meant to bring back the the former gruilla movement together in order to hail wounds.

In a statement extended to the media, Egyptian’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said the foreign minister will travel to Juba and will take part in an opeing session of the SPLM National Liberation Council on thursday.

“On behalf of the President of the Republic, the minister of foregn affairs Sameh Shoukri will takle part in an opennig session of the National Liberation Council of the ruling SPLM party in South Sudan on the 3rd of May,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

This morning, the Foreign Ministry annouced the arrival of the foreign minister to South Sudanese capital Juba.

“The Foreign Minister arrives in Juba to participate in the opening of the conference of the National Liberation Council of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement,” he said in a statement.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was accompaigned by his wife First Lady Janet Museveni and drove to J1 to meet president Salva Kiir before the opening of the meeting at 9:00 am today.
