08, March 2017 (Nyamilepedia) — The SPLM-IO Youth league has condemned in the strongest term as inhumane the blocking of thousands of students at the UNMISS camps around South Sudan from sitting for the South Sudan High School Certificate Exams.

“The SPLM (IO)Youth League has learnt with dismay and utter disappointment the decision of the fascist and rotten regime to deny the children of the Chollo, Nuer and Balanda forced to live in UNMISS the chance to sit for the Secondary school exams.” said a statement released by the SPLM-IO Youth League

The youth body says South Sudan government under directives from the First Vice President Taban Deng Gai decided the no exams would be taken inside the UNMISS camps in Juba and around the country denying thousands of young students their opportunity in progress into higher education level.

“Informal investigations revealed that it was the office of the Kiir’s  puppet First Vice President Gen. Taban Deng Gai which is responsible for blocking the Nuer, Chollo and Balanda kids from sitting their exams.” said the statement by the SPLM-IO Youth League

The Youth league in a statement released today and signed by the SPLM-IO Youth League head of information Cde. Sirir Gabriel Yiei Ruot says the action by the government was a clear violations and breach of the children’s inalienable rights to education enshrined in Geneva Convention.
