South Sudan Police warns armed forces on Christmas shooting in the Country

Dec 24, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Gbudwe Police Commissioner, Col. James Monday Enoka, urges SPLA forces not to shoot guns during Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Speaking to Nyamilepedia press on Thursday, Col Monday says there should be no random shooting during the festival, promising to punish violators.

He discourages rumours during the festival and urges citizens to report any suspected issue to police station for quick action.

The Police Commissioner revealed that police officers have been deployed to all churches in Yambio to protect Christians during the celebrations.

Gbudwe State Assembly Speaker Paul Tambua calls on everyone to stop killing their fellow citizens because it will not bring peace.

He urges the population of Gbudue State to maintain peace and forgive one another.

The officials made the remarks during their Christmas messages to Press on Thursday in Yambio.
