BREAKING: President Kiir Ordered Trucks and Military Escort To Evacuate Ethnic Dinka From Yei
JUBA, South Sudan
Oct 26, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– On October 25, South Sudan’s incumbent president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, ordered ten trucks and military escort, reportedly, to evacuate his Dinka Ethnic from Yei River county to Juba, the national capital city, for their own safety.
For the last three weeks, the president has been blamed by his community for an alleged killing of 21 dinka civilians along the Juba-Yei road earlier this month.

According to reports that have not been independently verified, 21 civilians were targeted in the name of “MTN”, a code that is being ambiguously used across Equatoria to refer to members of Dinka ethnic group in non-Dinka territories.
According to SPLM/A(IO)’s Girma Apaya, the reporter in the office of the Commander of SPLM/A- IO forces in Mundri, Western Equatoria State, ten trucks have already arrived in Yei from Juba and are now preparing a big military buildup, mainly of Dinka militia loyal to the president, the Mathiang Anyoor, to escort the trucks from Yei to Juba.
Girma said their military intelligence along the Juba-Yei road are closely monitoring these events but he wonders if President Salva Kiir is doing this in order to relocate his headquarters to Yei to carry out offensives on the remaining non-dinka civilians as he threatened last week.
“Now to those blind Equatorians calling themselves Governors, including, the likes of Wani Igga, Thomas Cirilo, Obete Mamur Meta, Lawrence Korbandy, Anthony Lino Makana, ELIAS Lomoro, Clement Wani Konga among others in the system can you see for yourselves the truths and yellow color of the regime against the people of other tribes of South Sudan.” Apaya asks Equatorian leaders on government side.
This evacuation followed similar evacuations of Equatorian NGO staffs from Bhar el Ghazal region and Upper Nile, a report that has been confirmed by the United nations in New York.
Apaya blames the Equatorians for failing to response to their own needs despite many clear signs that president Salva Kiir is working for the interest of his community.
“When we the youths said the regime is tribal and working only for the welfare of Dinka community, many Equatorions tend to turn their deaf ears to it. Now, with that development and forceful repatriation of 92 Equatorian NGOs workers from Bahr El Ghazal and 12 from upper Nile mainly from dinka areas, it’s now becoming clear that Kiir’s controversial statement and the warning of the Jeing Youths were becoming into its fullest of its implementation,” He said.
“It’s never a surprise thereafter to mention that soon, then latter, a serious War of revenge by Dinka Ethnic groups shall be witnessed in Equatoria region and in Yei areas in particular first” Apaya warns.
In the same press release the opposition calls on the sons and daughters of Equatoria to “please stand up and unite now before the worse happen and get ready for any eventuality against your own people” .
“The truth is and will always remain, let us wait if you want, truth are not always hidden, it will come clear soon after the repatriation of Dinka members from Yei to Juba. Believe me, get ready, we are at war,” Girma said.
To response to these reports, Nyamilepedia press has tried to get Government officials to comments or deny the allegations but to no success.
Other members of the opposition, including the Chairman of SPLM/SPLA-IO, Dr. Riek Machar, has warned president Salva Kiir during a recent interview with Associated Press that the latest hate speech by President Kiir against other communities could intensify ethnic wars.
President Salva Kiir used an example of a child whose parent were killed in a different incident along Torit-Lafon road to illustrate how Dinka civilians were brutally killed along the Juba-Yei road; however, independent investigations extended to Nyamilepedia by a local NGO in Torit indicates that the child and his parents were of Equatorian origin.
Despite attempts by the UN and other humanitarian agencies to independently investigate the alleged killing of 21 Dinka civilians along Juba-Yei road, Juba has refused to give any warrant for such investigation.
According to Mabior Garang de Mabior, the alleged killing of Dinka civilians along Juba-Yei road might not be true or it was done by some elements in the government to implicate the SPLM/A-IO and other armed groups in Equatoria.
Other government officials have went on to claim that SPLA-IO are holding Ugandan citizens hostage and are asking ransoms which Mabior and other SPLM/SPLA-IO officials have also denied.
“this is part of the counter insurgency tactics of the regime in Greater Equatoria intended to lure the Republic of Uganda into the conflict; This deception is demonstrated by the refusal of the regime to grant access to independent investigators to access the scene of these alleged crimes” Mabior explains.
