Special envoy, Ambassador Donald Booth.

Foreign affair Subcommittee chair, Representative Chris Smith

Sept 20th, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— We the SPLM-IO chapters in the United States of America unanimously and unreservedly reject Taban Deng Gai as the treacherous person now he has become and as the usurped 1st Vice president of South Sudan. We denounce and condemn the presence of his entourage of corrupt and Tyrannical government of Juba on the soil of this great land. We are appalled that our government of the United States of America will allow those who deprive their own Citizen of all rights and lives to touch the land of the free!

Their presence in this land of safety we cherished places us in duress and causes us to relive and notched up the pain we have been enduring through the loss, sufferings and displacements of our loved ones in South Sudan.

We denounce the deadly scheme put together by Kiir and Paul Malong with the help of Taban Deng Gai, which shattered the implementation of the life saving peace Agreement signed in Addis Ababa on the resolution of the conflict in South Sudan.

The August 17th, 2015 agreement was signed by the Chairman and Commander in Chief of the SPLM/SPLA IO Dr. Riek Machar, Former Detainees Pagan Amum and then dragged out and unwillingly in Juba by the President of South Sudan Salva Kiir. Now depressingly, the only one who refused, threw tantrum over the signing of the agreement and schemed the unilateral 28 tribal states to derail it with a final fatal blow to the agreement by assassination attempt of July 7th 2016 is left scoffing his victims, are we to believe, such a man to implement with a usurped 1st vice president this life saving agreement which he never embraced? We do not want Kiir to take our government of the United States and the people of South Sudan for a ride.

The July 7th Assassinations and purging of many SPLA/M members from Juba did not only killed the Party members in Juba but also the very Agreement they signed in Addis Ababa which they had come to Juba to implement. The SPLM- IO members who survived and got trapped in Juba did not find the chance to get out of Juba together with their Chairman Dr. Riek. They remain behind as hostages of the Government of South Sudan and are acting under duress thus any action they take is null. Additionally these hostages lacked the 2/3 quorum required by the SPLA/M-IO chatter to be able to legally change their commander in chief.

Taban Deng Gai who is currently alleged to be the First Vise President with a handful member from the SPLM IO remained willfully in Juba. They pledged allegiance to the Junta regime of South Sudan and are officially released from the SPLM IO Party. The SPLM IO Party has been forced out of Juba and is now caucusing outside Juba. This clearly indicates that the conflict of South Sudan remains unresolved and cannot be resolved by forcing out those opposed to the Tyrannical regime or by recognizing Taban Deng Gai as substitute to Dr. Riek Machar.

Given the above, we the SPLM IO chapters in the USA appeals to your authority to stop the fooling around going on by Taban Deng Gai and the President of South Sudan for claiming to be implementing peace but with who? As we write they continue to kill fellow citizens on daily basis, close newspapers; aggrieve the UNIMIS, torture and kill Aid agents, rape our women and sisters and displaced our loved ones by the thousands into foreign countries. What a government of National Unity or peace? We say none.

Sincerely

SPLM IO
