Sept 11, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- We are concerned about the current on going forceful recruitment of youths in Greater Mundri by SPLA IG.

Few days ago more then  17 underaged children between the age limit of 17-18 were arrested in Mundri by government as part of State program to recruit youths from all over the country to bring them to Juba and train them as soldiers.

That was a way of forceful recruitments of youths to be trained in army by government but because they can’t make it openly as they do in Bahr el Ghazal by army chief of staff Gen. Paul Malong due to sensitive of the dealings among Equatorians,  they ended up claiming to have arrested those children charging them as criminals.

Those allegations against those arrested  were baseless. Those youths had been in Mundri town for the last two years,  and have never  involved in any criminal acts against civilians or hold guns against the government.

Beside,  it’s  not true that the parents of those children will not for any reasons whatever  accuse their own children to government to be arrested.

We are aware,  these was the plan of Joseph Ngere and his elites to improve their images in the faces of their Jieng bosses by giving youths in exchange for retaining their positions.

We condemned in strongest terms possible those brutality against the youths in Greater Mundri and we warn the governor and his elites to be watchful and refrain from playing about with the lives of our people. The governor must ensure,  those children were released unconditionally.
