Journalists in Imatong state faced challenges when accessing information from officials in the state which make some of them reluctant due to the embarrassment, harassment and censorship.

Earlier the first director general called on state owned journalist to love their work but journalists said they love their work except that the officials are refusing to disclosed any information to the public.

Due to censorship and lack of corporation from the state government officials many sensitive issues go uncovered as doing so may risk the lives of journalists and their loved ones.

For the last two years, more than 10 journalists have been arbitrarily killed by government security death squad. No accountability or justice has been served on these cases.
