Sept 3, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— Persuading the government officials to accept deployment of a regional protection force, the co-chair of the UNSC mission to South Sudan, Ambassador Samantha Powers of the United States, warns the officials that those who obstruct deployment of a Protection Force are those who carry out killing of civilians, looting, rapes and ethically-based unprovoked attacks on unarmed populations which constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.

While briefing a council representing the Transitional Government of National Unity, Powers said the UNSC expect South Sudan as the newest member of the United Nations to cooperate and show commitment to protection of human rights.

“We expect the government of South Sudan as the newest member-state to the United Nations to want to end the culture of impunity, to want to end killings and sexual assaults and ethnically-based attacks and political attacks,” she said

Asked of what would be “Plan B” if Kiir’s government continue to insist that they won’t allow even a single soldier to enter South Sudan, Powers said the Plan B is more of a last resort but its consequences would be catastrophic to the politicians, people and the country.

“So, we are here as the Council to not get to ‘plan B’. It would be a great disappointment not merely for the UN Security Council, but for the people of this country who count on the government.” Powers continued.

The 15 diplomats will meet President Salva Kiir, Civil Society groups, women and IDPs in Juba before proceeding to Wau of Western Bhar el Ghazal state.

The visit of the UNSC diplomats is expected to determine if the Security Council should impose arms embargo, sanctions and other punitive actions on individuals or the country.

Hope the UNSC people also meet Machar. The propaganda machine in Juba in full operation.
The real view definitely not the one propagated by Kiir and his cronies

Look for what isn’t said or promised.
Kiir and his cohorts have a long history of obfuscation, stalling and delay tactics.
Grab them by the balls (if you find any to grab) and squeeze hard, very hard.

If Kiir and his mob faces pain, who cares, it is the situation for the 12 000 000 men woman and children who matter, and they have suffered for the last 10 years.

  • Don’t protect the unprotected kiir’s govt, don’t mercy the merciless, and don’t protect the bully govt of kiir, who humiliated its citizens in the RoSS. God will condenm the warmongers, thugs, criminal run amoks, rapists spla, unknowns gunmen of kiir’s govt.

  • UNSC, high profile representatives delegates must be respected & protected according to Intl Protocol.
Access to all venues in RoSS, must be opened even the darkest magic’s house of Kiir where he exercises hearing hell voices must be accessible the delegates of the world.

I cant believe UNSC’s visiting team of reps would even make such statement as if they don’t know who the obstructionists are.. On top of that the overwhelming evidences against Juba officials should be enough and admissible for action against. Three South Sudan’s ethnic women were being rape as the team were landing at Juba Airport. I am frankly concern for the team members who are women, the fact that if any of them strays from the pact would likely risk being rape by those tribal extremist and savage barbarians against other ethnics and foreigners.

  • UNSC, higher delegates needs not to convince or begs Kiir’s govt to UNSC, 4000 troops to protect & detect the unknowns gunmen in kiir’s backyards.
Dear Hon, Samantha power, plse use yr powers to the most don’t waste time to beg kiir’s rotten govt go p-B.
