August 27, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— Latest reports from South Sudan’s Yei River County indicate that government soldiers loyal to president Salva Kiir have killed five family members and six elders in areas around Yei town on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

According to credible sources, civilians are fleeing Yei River County as government soldiers are hunting families and elderly relatives of soldiers who are believed to have joined the armed opposition and fighting the government forces in Central Equatoria.

The troops, who are mostly from Dinka tribe, entered Yei on Wednesday and killed 5 members of one family in Mukaya village.

The source explained that the soldiers returned to their barrack in Yei on Wednesday evening but came back on Thursday and killed 6 elders and loot their property.

All the victims are accused of having supported the SPLM/SPLA-IO or having their sons in the forces fighting Kiir’s regime.

The reports reiterate that the two rival forces of SPLA fought on Wednesday in Gimunu, an area located on Yei-Juba road, as government soldiers attempted to claim the area from the rebels but the attacking force was defeated with “huge casualties”.

The resident confirmed that, at least, 38 government soldiers and two civilians were killed during the fighting on Wednesday, forcing the government troops to retreat to Yei town.

baaaaak, tolio, mathiang anyoor and the jci,

is only last week you come to know that all people of this area are all IO? We know this war will take time but we determine to balance of power in this country. We mean what say and this is only the begining. The MTN will leave Yei by air not by land.

Dr. Riak’s appearance in Khartoum is the sign of your total defeat, his long journey from Juba through villages of equatoria can tell you that all people here supported him. But bcause you are animals, it is difficult for you to understand but we will make you undertand by picking the MTN one by one.

Riek rebels have realized that they are fighting unwinnable war against the government but have resorted to manufacturing lies to fool equatorians. Well riek be told that equatorians are not stupid like lou nuer to listen to your lies. They have leaders that are smarter tthan Riek and will not waste their lies to back another corrupt and warmonger Riek. Riek should fight his stupid rebellion by himself. Even stupid nuer have now realized that Riek is using them for his own interest. The more riek carry on with his rebellion the long kiir will stay on power. Only peaceful transition of power will allow majority to rid themselves of kiir, riek, pagan and rest of all the former and current government ministers.

Hi Mr. Factual,
It seems you have misunderstood the context of the new nation problems. it is not about Reik but poor leadership, mismanagement of resources, corruption, tribal domination, arrogance exercised by barbaric tribes who feel they are born to rule. Whether Reik is in the bracket or not , south sudanese will still fight to see reforms. Be reminded that it is not Reik who have raised eye brows about the current turmoil, many like Lam Akol, Pagan , Ladu Gore among others leave alone the international community and south sudanese in diaspora. Check your reasoning and mind and start advocating for peace and unity.

Maybe you need to go back to the drawing board. This is not about Riek. It’s about JCE and it tribal regime that has resorted into killing.
