August 12, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— The crumbling regime of South Sudan president, Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, has declared to fight a regional intervention force approved today by the United Nations Security Council in New York.

According to President Salva Kiir’s spokesman, Ateny Wek Ateny, who swiftly responded to the resolution said the government will not corporate with the AU, IGAD, TROIKA and US-backed resolution that will now protect civilians and national installations in the country.

Although the government has failed to defeat 1, 300 SPLA-IO forces around Juba for the last one month, Wek said his government is in control of South Sudan security and it won’t allow the entry of 4000 strong troops from the region.

Speaking to international media Ateny said it “is very unfortunate and we are not going to ‘cooperate’ on that because we will not allow our country to be taken over by the U.N…. Any force that will be called Juba Protection force will not be accepted.”

Ateny is questioning the mandate of the regional protection force and why South Sudan should be arms embargoed if it resists regional intervention.

Speaking at the United Nations, South Sudan ambassador. Akuei Bona Malwal, decries that the UNSC has refused to listen to his concerns and threatens that his government will not be responsible if the 4000 troops are confronted by the “unknown gunmen” in the country.

During his earlier speech, amb. Akuei accused the Unknown gunmen for the outbreak of a fierce battle at the presidential palace on July 8, 2016. More than 200 presidential guards of Mr. Kiir and 37 bodyguards of Machar were killed in less than 5 hours intense fighting.

After Machar was escorted to his residence after the fight by a combined force of SPLA-IO and SPLA-IG, more fighting continued on Sunday and Monday from 8Am to after 7pm.

During the July 11th and 12th fighting, the government side used “all necessary means” at the order of president Salva Kiir and his chief of general staff with intention to eliminate and replace First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar; however, Machar’s 1,300 infantry stood off Kiir’s over 20, 000 well-equipped and constantly reinforced troops for more than 24 hours before Salva Kiir declared a ceasefire.

The July fighting was such a big shock for many residents of Juba, who witnessed SPLM/SPLA-IO being flown into the heavily militarized Juba with inadequately light weapons.

For the last four weeks, the government has tried to clear areas a few miles away from the capital, Juba, but consequences of such continued fighting have led to more than 1000 wounded patients hospitalized in Juba and death of many soldiers in areas within Central Equatoria state.

Dr. Machar’s forces threaten to march on Juba any time if the regional intervention fails to materialize.

To subdue negative reactions from South Sudan rival forces, the UNSC has drafted another resolution to pass arms embargo and sanctions as soon as Salva Kiir’s faction or any other party fail to corporate.

The unknown gunmen don’t seems so unknown after all according to Mr Malual if he can easily speculate on what their actions will be against regional forces. If the forces stay vigilant the unknown won’t be so unknown. And as long as the unknown threatens they will be pursued till they are known and be shot point blank.

Makuei was seen frothing from the mouth with a contorted face that “they will not allow” the deployment of a foreign force into South Sudan and proceeded to “warn” neighbours not to deploy into South Sudan. I am just wondering if these Dinka men in Juba have been bitten by a mad cow!!

  • It is not easy for those of Pagan Amum and likes since the government in Juba has decided to cancelled their Diplomatic Passports or their citizens passports. They have to apply for Asylums, but it is very very difficult for them to get travel documents so quick and also it is not possible for them to withdraw their Money from the banks in the foreign countries with out passports.

South Sudan’s Jaang dominate gov will be on the terrorist list before we know it.

Uganda and M7 as a useful tool to US in and around the Great Lakes will not even think about fighting in a lost cause as a Jaang kingdom on a promise to be paid later.

North Sudan Rebels have no interest in South Sudan’s internal affirs where their hands are being twisted to take sides. They have more to gain by staying out of South Sudan conflict if they wish to have a stable neighborly relations with the bordering tribes like the Nuers and the Chilluks.

I don’t think the tribal gov of Jaang have a clue what they are getting themselves into. A government that cant fight 1300 strong of Dr.Machar lightly armed will be no match to 4000 strong that are using modern military hard wares and a vas range of technological capabilities.

This should clearly spelled out the end of the Jaang dominated regime and start the process of Justice, accountability, reconciliations and a viable peace.

I don’t think the Jaang dominated regime have anything up their sleeve that would include rallying the other tribes they been victimizing for decades to defend a Jaang government that will tomorrow turn around and mercilessly murder them, rape their women, starve them to death, displaces them, occupy their ancestral lands and take their birth rights and properties from them. Nobody would dare. I personally would not.

    • Being a Refugee is extremely bad,but Dr. Riek Machar never suffered a lot, that’s why he was between Khartoum and SPLM because of money and he is now again not going to suffer the most because he will still begging to pay his Hotel. People of Nuer are going to pay the highest price.
