August 08, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— SPLM/SPLA-IO overall commander of Division 3, Lt. Gen. Tut Rik, warns “stranded loyal troops” around Nasir to put down their arms and ask their leadership in Juba to stop shelling and bombarding civilians in SPLM/SPLA-IO controlled areas.
“This indiscriminate targeting of the civilians in their residential will not be tolerated by the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny, the First Vice President of the Republic South Sudan.” Lt. Gen. Tut said.
In a press release extended to Nyamilepedia, Gen. Tut Riek appeals to Salva Kiir soldiers that their leadership will not harm them if they surrender before they starve in their trenches.
“Comrades, it has come to our attention that the failed regime of Salva Kiir has lets you down with no logistics and reinforcements. We are also aware that the recent provocation you made by shelling our defensive position in Nordeng and other locations was just an order from above.” Gen. Tut said.
“It’s not our interest to see our brothers dying of hunger in trenches defending failed regime manipulated by JCE and couldn’t bring any helps should if we decided to crush you today in Nasir.” He continued.

Lt. Gen. Tut assures the rival soldiers that the appeal came from Dr. Riek Machar Teny, Chairman and the commander-in-chief of SPLM/SPLA-IO and it will be respected by all units.
“The SPLA-IO leadership has taken a hard decision to absolve all of you once you lay down your arms. This is a request from the Chief of Staff and the C-In-C FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny.” He said.
You Will Be Flushed Out if IGAD Plus Fails.
Gen. Tut reiterates that the SPLA-IO will resort to war if IGAD-plus fails and isolated barracks like those in Nasir will bear enormous consequences should war resumes.
“Comrades, our distant is not far from all the directions. Should regional force failed to be deployed in juba and your government failed to stop bombarded innocent civilians in Nasir, then we will be force to drive you to drown in Sobat river and pursuit those who think they may reaches Juba by foot.” Lt. Gen. Tut states.
Tut gives the rival forces 72 hours to response to his humble plea, assuring that those who abide with this request will be treated fairly like their colleagues who surrendered to them in the past.
“Comrades, I must assure you that nobody will harm you once you lay down your arms. You will equally be treated like your colleagues who abandoned your camp to IO camp in Nasir in the last few days. We shall offer you an equal treatment like our comrades on the side of the Freedom Fighters. We decided to give you 72 hours to consider our request.” Tut concludes.
He concludes that the SPLM/SPLA-IO is still committed to implementation of peace agreement in letter and spirit, and shall only response when provoked by anti-peace elements.
