July 30, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– The Phow community in Kenya, through its elected representatives, takes this opportunity to clear itself of the dirty political rhetoric Hon. Taban Deng has taken.

PCK condemns, and disapprove this cheap politics of survival and betrayal to his movement. The community doesn’t recognize Hon.Taban Deng Gai’s appointment by President Salva Kiir. We, the undersigned, are against this political decision because of the following:

  1. The decision was taken in a total violation of article 6 (4, 5) of the Agreement for the Resolution of Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan thus, it scraps the comprehensive choice the South Sudanese made through that document.
  2. The personality through which this decision has been taken did/does not hold any place within the Movement as he had been dismissed a day before his illegal appointment.
  3. The conspiracy theory under which this matter was concluded remains a disgusting issue to every community in the IO fraternity.

Under these notes, we want to tell the world that, the SPLM/A-IO remains our only beckon of hope. Therefore, any short-term political fixes would just complicate matters, and further compromise the peace deal.

On this note, the community registers its full support, and absolute solidarity to the legitimate leadership under Dr. Riek Machar Teny. His absence cannot be used to fulfill personal gains. The consequences will be very high, and the community in essence urges restraint on such matters.

Therefore, the community commends in a very special manner, the position of JMEC on the matter, and calls on the IGAD, AU to quicken its activities on the deployment of the Third Force. Peace is under threat from its enemies, and the early this force comes in, the better.
