July 23, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– At least two rape victims have died today at the UN base in South Sudan capital, Juba.

Speaking to our editorial team in Juba, a senior official of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), who had no permission to speak on behave of the mission, confirmed that one woman and a teenage girl have died today in UNMISS POC site.

The official confirmed that the deceased were raped by SPLA soldiers, loyal to president Salva Kiir, at a check-point in Gudele earlier this week.

Following five days of fighting in Juba, government soldiers have reportedly raped more than 30 women within the capital within the last one week.

The victims, who recounted their dreadful experiences after escaping to UNMISS compounds, regrets that the soldiers raped them at gunpoint in a broad day light after leaving UNMISS in search of food and other basic needs.

While some remain in critical conditions, the victims report trauma from wounds and  psychological defects.

Within the last two years, many women have been raped, in what the United Nations and rights groups have reported this year as a government policy to reward the militants.

Jaang has accomplished their plan to humiliated Nuer people. They raped our women in the broad day light, yet they have great support from some nuer. My heart cried and burn with anger. Not to the jaang perse, but to the nuer who become less sympathetic to pain of others nuer. Jaang become our enemy number one. Only God almighty will heal the wounds they have inflicted our heart.

Garmonyjang,

..don’t forget nobody is an enemy to the deceased if you could put the allegations on your hindsight, your kind words of condolences to the alleged victim and the family would distinguish you greatly from the wild beasts that lacks compassion. unless I am naively wrong.

Young men and strong women of Nuer, Equotoria, Chullok, peace loving Dinka communities, would you accept your mothers, daughters, and sisters to live like this in your own country or you want to sacrifice yourselves for sake of your weak people to live in lasting peace in your country?

Dojiok,
Please name one jaang peace loving community in all South Sudan and I will tell you how naive you are. Actually just name one Jaang community that has unanimously came out to exonerated their particular community by condemning the tribal atrocities carried out against other tribes perpetrated by their tribal militia and supported by their tribal government. You will find that their silent is a unspeakable endorsement of such mayhem in which they are the sole beneficiary of the end goal.

Riek Machar is to blame. He created the atmosphere for these kind of unspeakable crimes. As one writer mentioned earlier, people aught to be careful in thier judgement because there are individuals and groups trying to pull a wage and they shouldn’t be allowed.

Taking side is not the way forward but is fuelling the situation from bad to worst, so please don,t take side and consider yourself to be the one who will bring change to the country. act as change agent by mobilizing your community to embrace peace and create a very conducive atmosphere for every one.
