July 22, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– South Sudan’s First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, relieves his long term rival, General Taban Deng Gai, from SPLM/SPLA in Opposition.

According to James Gatdet Dak, the Press Secretary of Dr. Machar, the First Vice President has also dismissed Hon. Taban from the Ministry of Mining.

“FVP Dr. Riek Machar has dismissed Taban Deng Gai from the SPLM/SPLA (IO). He has also withdrawn and recalled him from Minister of Mining.” Dak said.

Dak has also confirmed that Machar has ensured to return to the capital once a third party force has been deployed in the capital.

“FVP Dr. Riek Machar will return to Juba once a third party force is deployed. President Salva Kiir’s 48 hours ultimatum is unnecessary.” he added.

Attempted Coup But Machar must return to Juba within 48 hours.

Speaking on the national TV, the Minister of Information and broadcasting, Michael Makuei Lueth, threatens that Machar must return to Juba before Monday or else Salva Kiir’s government will replace him.

Makuei reiterates that what happened at Presidential house was an attempted coup on the life of President Salva Kiir.

“It is not unfortunate situation as some people used to refer to it but it was a presidential, it was, it was eh a tempted coup which failed in the presidential palace and that coup resulted into lost of so many lives” Makuei said.

Makuei was reiterating a report that has been circulated by President Salva Kiir claiming that Dr. Machar had a pistol during the shooting at his palace, however, he went ahead to protect and save his life from unruly gunmen from his headquarters – a report that has been bitterly denied by the opposition.

Lueth seems stuck on coups. first the one in 2013 (which wasn’t a coup as we all knew), then now again.
seems deluded at best and having a different agenda at worst. In fact Lueth spreads his poisonous rethoric and he is a major cause of creating insecurity all over. Ateny Wek Ateny has zero credibility, in fact it is amusing to hear his lame denials. He would without hesitation deny the extinction of the dinosaurs as well as the crucifix ion of Christ, or blame it on Dr Machar. The luny in Washington also fabricating fairy tales.

It was not a coup attempt, it was a clear designed strategy to kill him (the Rebel Leader} Machar but failed.

Mr. Machar is creation this dismissal as a distraction for the 48 hours that was given to him by the president. He don’t want to see other person from his own community to be above him and that is why he rush to relieve Mr. Taban, but sorry Mr. your tactic way of trying to reduce Nuer population or exiled most of them is already revealed, it wouldn’t work this time unless you return to juba to retain your position or whether you will be replaced with Mr. Gai despite your decree to relieve him. Good luck

You really look Dinka when making comment without judging the meaning of your argument. You always make a suicide mission to itself in politics. why don’t you create some space for your future exits like what Mt. Kir doing now to him self.
Stay blessed with Petty Minder Mr.Tabhan Deng.

Kiir is not and never been a pro peace or else the recent clashes would have not ensued period. Kiir also would not have uttered ridiculous ultimatum of 48hrs if he is pro-peace mainly because fostering peace requires patience, security arrangements and stipulation on how and when the two rival factions that have just recently clashed and continue to clash should start to dialogue on returning the country to that minimal peace they had before independence day. In all of this kiir is accusing his first VP of coup, assassination attempts and the stories don’t seem to add up. Meanwhile he claims to have saved Machar’s life and yet Machar is being hunted down by Kiir’s forces and as a matter of fact Machar is not disclosing his GPS of where about in South Sudan let a lone meeting with Kiir the murder. Like I mean why would anyone bother trusting Kiir and his fraudulent tribal government that has no credibility whatsoever. What I am waiting for to is to seeis he Opposition camps of Machar to regroups and put into gear their back up plant. Nuers needs to be quite and not make condemnations because they have unanimously endorse this hallowed peace with knowing very well that it was not in good faith. If they too have a plant #2 beside their useless condemnations, it must be put in motion as well. The time for everyone to go back to drawing boards is now because the regional intervention troop will not come and drop any blue print for anyone but will come to implement their own, call it proxy but its their to advance their interest.
