The First Step To Change Is Awareness.

June 23, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— As a brief introduction to my article, I would like you to go through these famous English quotes in order to relate these quotes with the main points that I will narrate in this article.
” An error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse to correct it” Orlando A. Battista
” By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail“ Benjamin Franklin.
|“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.”||Winston Churchill|
|“Five percent of people think; ten percent of people think they think; and the other eighty-five percent would rather die than think.”||Thomas Edison|
Awareness is the most needed element in life. We should be aware of any step we took in thinking about or doing anything that of importance to the general public.
For example, if we are yearning for peace, its prevalence and implementation in our country, and we want to change the situation we are in now, all of us must have to change our negative attitudes against one another to a better one of forgiveness, reconciliation and co-existence. We can do this through prayers even if with difficulty in order to accept our neighbors, former acquaintances, former colleagues, former class- mates and former friends from other tribes which we suddenly differ with since 2013.

If we want to enjoy our individual life again during this peace time as citizens of this country after the devastating war, we have and must change our bad attitudes which had been prevailing during the civil war in our country. We plant and we harvested during the war time, so any bad thing/s we did is for ourselves and our country and it is the same when doing good thing/s now. it is a must to make a change because we have been aware enough to know the difference between our former life and living before the civil war and the same life and living after the war. So let us all renew our life in this time of peace and try by all means to forget the past, because if we don’t it will prevent us from standing up again and It will hinder us from moving forward to rebuild our relations and country.
We have all committed many unprecedented bad crimes to our people in an effort to achieve a temporary victory in the unnecessary war and we all failed to achieve that victory. Now we are in peace time according to the brokered and a signed compromise peace by our leaders who are still the guardians now despite the intended road block to the implementation of the C.P.A. two in the new nation.
These unnecessary and intended man made road blocks to the implementation of peace as we all know are:-
1- The unconstitutional 28 states.
2- Formation of national legislative assembly.
3- Cantonment areas for the opposition forces in the remaining two regions according to the security arrangements,
Iam really wondering why some opportunists and self-seeking gossipers are still crest-crossing between the government and the opposition or Salva Kiir Mayardiit and Dr. Riek Machar Teny, these types of people should stop this unnecessary movement between the former and current leaders because they both and other stakeholders signed the agreement and now working together for its implementation as responsible citizens of this nation. Why the weak personalities who contributed in committing bad crimes during the civil in their former sides,( of government and opposition) moving from government side to the opposition side and via – versa after peace time as if both sides are still mobilizing fighting forces? To me, there is no any type of military buildup by both parties now in the country, because they all accepted the peace and if any, it will not serve any purpose in this time. The single defects were only of moral benefit to any side during the unnecessary fatal and destructive civil war. Now I think, nobody of a sound mind in the government side or the opposition, still thinking or dreaming of any another unnecessary civil war.
Our leader’s interest now, is, should and must be to lead this country to prosperity as responsible people. It is a must for them to change any negative attitude towards each other as leaders.
For instance, if there is no stable south Sudan, which country are they going govern? If this country is not stable, it will be totally ungovernable. Are they going to govern the waste land of south Sudan in Juba or in exile? I think they cannot accept such a pathetic situation.
We have to change our thinking for vicious circles of revenges, hatred, tribalism, suspension, and other forms of ill behaviors which shows all forms of uneasiness towards one another. Let us forget our grievances and not forget the names only of those who were the responsible for those crimes.
I think the people who are able to have access to the media outlets are happy to hear from the leaders, the whole presidency (General Salva, Dr. Riek and Wani) the whole ministry of defense, (General Kuol, General Malong, David Yau, Brig. General Malak and the responsible general the Commander of south Sudan Police College). All these responsible southerners publicly talked about the importance of peace to our people at this crucial time. In addition to the whole government of notational unity, we had before all the church leaders and the living political parties in the country.
