May 03, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Happy that his brother, Dr. Riek Macha Teny, has returned to capital, South Sudan President never stop apologizing for a hard fought  2-years civil war that has displaced more than 2 millions people and killed tens of thousands.

The president, Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, has again confessed to Dr. Riek Machar Teny that the incident of December 2013 was not just a mistake but something above his authority.

In his confession, Kiir admits that he would too rebelled like Riek Machar and other politicians and generals if it was not the fact that he was the president of the young nation; and for that he no longer blames neither Riek nor anyone else who rebelled following the December 2013 incident.

“Brother Riek, I don’t blame you for rebelling against the government of South Sudan and calling for reform. I also don’t blame those who rebelled with you, I could have also rebelled with you if I wasn’t the president of Republic of South Sudan”. The president further confessed to Machar, who returns as the First Vice President.

Compared to the previous two governments that he led after the independent, many critics around the president believe that the 30 months of transitional period would not be easy for Mr. Kiir.

While the president no longer command nearly half of the army in the country, after more than 70% of SPLA defected to Riek Machar in the last two years, the president does not have full autonomy to fire and discipline almost half of the cabinet.

Given the high political temperatures and high expectations from the citizens, the president has called on his brother Riek Machar and the rest of the oppositions to “cooperate” during the TGNU.

“In the Transitional Government of National Unity, we do not expect opposition neither in the Executive nor in the Parliament. All of us who are the stakeholders have the collective responsibility to makes sure that we cooperate and work together as one team so that we deliver results. I therefore call upon all of you – and especially the first vice president and the vice president – to cooperate with me so that we return our country to the peaceful coexistence.” Said President Salva Kiir.

On his part, Machar is working equally hard to see more cooperation and pledged to work hand in hand with president Kiir to see peace implemented.

“I urged the Transitional Government of National Unity yesterday during the first cabinet sitting to work as a single body for the common interest of the nation. Working together will not only promote unity, reconciliation and healing, but it will also promotes proper delivery of services to the people of South Sudan”. Dr. Riek announced after the first meeting of TGNU.

This was the second time Riek pledged to cooperate with President Salva Kiir following his inauguration in Juba following his return from Pagak-1 in Upper Nile.

With not a doubt, President Salva Kiir swears that the returns of his former Vice President, whom he voluntarily sacked in July 2013, is the ultimate solution to restore peace and stability in the country.

“Personally, I am very happy to welcome and warmly receive my brother Dr. Riek Machar Teny to Juba to be with us, and I have no doubt that his return to Juba today marks the end of the war and the return of peace and stability to South Sudan.” Kiir said during his reception speech.

“This is the only choice for us to relieve our people from the undeserved suffering associated with the armed conflict imposed upon them. I believe this is the only way to return South Sudan to the path of peace, stability and prosperity.” Kiir continued.

President Kiir Apology to Citizens

Although it is taking long for both Kiir and Machar to apologize to the citizens, President Salva Kiir has offered a relaxed apology to the citizens for imposing a senseless war on them.

“In conclusion, Your Excellencies, I repeat our apologies to the people of South Sudan for the situation we the leaders have created. You have been patient throughout the duration of this crisis.” Salva Kiir said.

“Though the road ahead will still continue to have challenges but we are committed and determined to move our country forward. Thank you for the long patience and I ask you to to continue to endure with us.” Kiir continued.

Fearing justice and accountability, South Sudanese leaders hardly admit their faults and guilt for the conflict.

President Kiir loosely calls on the citizens and other politicians to forgive and reconcile their differences for the betterment of the nation.

“I also ask you to join me and my brother Riek Machar in the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation. I call upon our politicians and all the citizens of South Sudan to put their differences and personal interests aside for the welfare of our independence. Our people are tired of war and they need peace now.” Kiir said.

The president also apologized to the international community for delaying the implementation of the peace agreement and as well congratulates them for all their supports.

“I take this opportunity to apologize to the international community for the delay in implemantation of this agreement.” Kiir said.

“I also wish to express my vote of thanks to the international community – the UN Security Council, the UN Human Rights and humanitarian agencies, UNMISS, the Troika, AU, IGAD, EU, Russia, China, Japan and our other regional and international partners – for their positive efforts and commitment.” The president continued.

In a half apology to Machar, media and the citizens for impeding public rally and freedom of expression, President Kiir promised that he will join Machar’s public rally for peace when all the stakeholders are ready for the rally.

“Having considered all the political and security implications, the government decided that the public rally should be well prepared for the time ahead when all stakeholders including me will particpate in that public rally.” Kiir said.

The need for freedom of speech and public rally is one of the core factors that triggered the conflict in December 2013.

On December 9 and 14th 2013, Machar and other reforms proposed public rallies in Juba, however,  the events were politically foiled by the government.

Riek Machar was Hijack by its own people when they decided to hide at UN-MISS and i think there is nothing president Kiir should be careful about Riek, the winner now is Kiir. He has manage to protect displaced persons until peace came.

I love lecturing you if you still do not support reforms. By the way, nothing will stop us to have FEDERAL RULE IN THIS COUNTRY because this is the only way to make you understand that this country belongs to all not to you jenge as you always proclaim. You have lost more than ten ministries but we promise you that you will loose me in the next election. ASK ME IN 2018……………..am in Juba and working very hard for this

Dear Chol and Beek

I have advised in many occasions not to keep denying the genocide or massacred of Nuer in Juba. I think condoning along with reconciliations is only choice for now friends, Nuer deaths was undeniable and if Kiir has “confessed’ he is in right tracks to acknowledge the truth. Nuer were butchered by his arms.

Nonsense!,

If Mr. Kiir really wants to apologise to the people of South Sudan and be a good president, he should…

1). Scrap his wicked 28 states, and accept real FEDERALISM based on 10 States,
2). Call the massacre in Juba a horrendous mistake,
3). Say fuck off JCE,
4). Release all incommunicado prisoners,
5). Recognise IO cantonment sites in Equatoria and Bahr El Gazal regions,
6). Drop the idea of Dinkanization,
7). Discipline his soldiers and contain all cattle,
8). Promote Democracy and the rule of law,
9). Kill nepotism, favoritism and corruption,
10). Step down as president.

By doing so, his apologies will be genuinely accepted and indeed he will be recognised as the first reformist president in the history of South Sudan.
