April 24, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– South Sudan’s peace agreement, which has been struggling to survive for the last eight months, is at crossroad as Salva Kiir’s government and the United States lay more stumbling blocks in Machar’s return.

Denied permission to land in Juba for the last five days, Machar and his chief of army, were finally given a rushed permission to arrive on Monday, April 25th, to kick-start formation of transitional government of National Unity and implementation of the peace agreement; however, the United States and the United Kingdom have now withdrawn their supports and call on the two warring parties to take over the “primary responsibilities”.

Speaking to media on Sunday in Gambella, Ethiopia, South Sudan’s former Ambassador to Washington, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, warns that the Transitional Government is at risk unless other peace guarantors come in to transport the stranded leadership of the armed opposition, SPLM/SPLA.

“Definitely the transition is on hold unless we have another person that can volunteer to help transport the first vice president,” Gatkuoth said.

Backing the United States on its Facebook page, UK calls on the warring parties to take over the primary responsibility of ensuring Machar’s return.

“It is now time for the parties to take over the primary responsibility of ensuring this return.” Reads part of a status on The British Embassy in Juba’s Facebook status.

On Thursday JMEC, TROIKA, IGAD-plus and the international community set Saturday as another deadline for Machar’s return but despite Machar’s willingness and readiness to return to Juba before Monday, Salva Kiir regime denied Machar and his accompanying troop clearance to land in Juba, a delaying tactic that is now blamed on Machar.

Threatening “punitive actions” and consequences if the deadline is not met, Washington has now call it a quit and calls on the South Sudanese leaders to take over the primary responsibilities to end the conflict.

“We have been working intensively with our partners, especially Ethiopia, to facilitate Riek Machar’s return. Given the actions by both sides to prevent or delay his return, it is now time for the parties to assume primary responsibility for facilitating the return of Riek Machar to Juba to form the TGNU and to demonstrate that they are genuinely committed to peace.” Said John Kirby, the Assistant Secretary and Department Spokesperson of Bureau of Public Affairs in Washington, DC

It not yet clear if Donald Trump politics, which frustrates Obama administration is to be blamed for the withdrawal of the united states from supporting South Sudan Peace Implementation, however, compared to other crises in the world United States did not take serious actions in South Sudan’s conflict.

According to Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, the Opposition will seek support from the United Nations and other peace partners to transport Machar and the rest of the team.

Until then Machar and his presidential guards, who have been stranded in Gambella for one week, are now returning to their headquarters in Pagak, South Sudan.

I think the U.S are seeing the danger of Machar’s return, so they don’t want to be blamed for whatever may happen. That’s what the U.S do when things get from bad to worse.

As we are all familiars about the US from the beginning of the crises of S.Sudan in fact they are not serious and they were also involved indirectly to the war due to theirs foreigners politic .finally’ they don’t wants Machar to return back home because they know Machar very well is serious on their political views as well as they need our country to be under their authority as false state that is why they have no pressure on violation which was done by Salva Kiir’s government and they wants things to get worst and worsen so from there they will get the country free.
