Gov’t: No Additional Arms And No More Forces For SPLM/A-IO To Juba

April 19, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- The Government of the Republic of South Sudan says that it will not in position to accept any additional armament for delivery to SPLA-IO in Juba neither will it accept additional forces to the SPLA-IO in Juba, South Sudan Minister of Information and Broadcasting

Michael Makuei Lueth has said in a press statement.

Minister Makuei also objects to the military size of the SPLA-IO prescribed in agreement saying the number of the SPLA-IO force to be stationed in Juba is limited to only 1500 as Joint Integrated Police (JIP) with their light rifles.

In a counter-argument, James Gatdet Dak, official spokesperson in the office of the Chairman and C-in-C of SPLM/SPLA says the Government of South Sudan has reversed the agreement signed in August 2015; further sating the agreed number of SPLM/SPLA-IO forces to be in Juba is 2,910, not 1,370 as the Minister misquote.

“President Salva Kiir’s administration should understand that the number of the SPLA-IO’s forces required to be deployed in Juba is 2,910 in total, and not the initial 1,370 only,” James Gatdet Dak strongly responded.

“Hence, the argument in Juba that the SPLA-IO should not bring in more soldiers or weapons is a misguided complaint…even if we were to bring in to Juba the types of weapons they also possess inside and around the national capital,” continued James Gatdet.

Michael Makuei alleges that Machar, as First Vice President designate, is not committed to implementing the agreement since he has failed to come to Juba a number of times while the Government has done everything to facilitate him. He reiterates the government’s commitment to welcome Machar.

“The Government of the Republic of South Sudan welcomes Dr. Riek Machar, the First Vice President designate and calls upon him to respect and abide by his commitment and come to Juba with his civilian supporting staff and take up his assignment,” reads part of the statement.

On the coming SPLM/A-IO Chief of General Staff 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual, the Minister says the Government is ready to welcome him to Juba as long as he comes with only 40 of his forces to complete SPLM/A-IO 1500 forces required to be stationed in Juba.

“The Government of the Republic of South Sudan welcomes the SPLM/S-IO Chief of General Staff with 40 of his forces to complete the SPLM/A-IO forces in Juba. JMEC shall approve their armament and verified by CTSAMM,” clarified Makuei.

“They should not therefore object to the transportation from Pagak via Gambella by air of additional troops or bodyguards of both the South Sudan’s First Vice President, Chairman and C-in-C of SPLM/SPLA (IO), Dr. Riek Machar, and the Chief of General Staff, 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual. Even if their number reached 1,500, it would have been still in compliance with the required SPLA-IO troops in Juba per the security arrangements…The government should therefore stop wasting time and give landing permit (clearance) for the plane which will carry the Chief of General Staff, the bodyguards and their weapons…unless the administration is not committed to peace.” Gatdet fired back to Minister’s statement.

Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual is expected to arrive Juba first in order to receive his chairman but Dual and Machar could both arrive simultaneously given the current circumstance of things in pagak.

Those Juba thug are fearing Machar like nothing, what they want is Dr.Machar to go like others so that they assassinate him. If USA is serous then let them be there at the day of Machar arrival. Gatdet, remember that Dinka are not good in calculation

Dear U.S

Iam just personally realize that you are the one who kill 500,000 civilians among different tribes in South Sudan. You always know very clearly that Salva Kiir is not president but murderers and you insisting in supporting him. Do you really supporting rapes against girls, women and kills, and castration of our boys in country? Do you believes that the South Sudan government is predominantly belonging to Dinka only? Shame on you for your despicable intention upon our Nuer tribe in the country, I personally thinking of withdrawing my trust on America and just to think about others international communities not you. You are just money lovers, monkey brain who bolster the animosity situations which are not even happening in your country U.S. Why do want people to die including leader Riek Machar to whom Dinka conspires to kill him probably on Juba airport? You want to ridiculously regret after the unthinkable happen? Please try to acts as world leader under the president Obama and John Kirby, suppressed from pushing someone to edge with your nonsense announcement. Thanks you .

Bol Gatjang,
Your Riek Machar has killed more people in South Sudan than any dictator in Africa.
I Think you did not learn of the recent development in which Dr. Riek Machar contributed more than six thousand innocent Nuer sons to Bashir and sent to Yemen.
Do you know the number of survivors as of now?
Do you know the reason why Peter Gatdet is under detention in Khartoum before you open your dirty mouth against abuna Kiir Mayardit?
Nuer sons are dying in Yemen civil war and everywhere in the region b’se of one man ambition for the presidency.
Abuna Kiir Mayardit has saved more lives than Dr.Riek Machar unless you are blinded folded by your tribalism.

What a ridiculous and narrow mind experience you have,Mr.Akhot, you should rather supporting Dr.Riek than your father Kiir. You better study history of South Sudan,Dr.Riek Machar became a rival of late Jonh Garang for the same reason of Dinka humiliated Nuer. Nuer Jikany communities especially GaaJaak Nuer community had been terrorize by so called SPLA under Garang.

Many of their sub-communities, they were horrified by insurgents from SPLA who tortures them to deaths.

Had it not been GaaJaak’s resilient, they were to enslave by Dinka rebellion but Dr.Riek said no, it was fist dictatorship regime. He has demanded a changes and persuading Garang to preaches the motives of SPLA instead of killing innocent civilians. They were ambushed civilians in their villages by night in vain.

Was it the government of people or enemy? Don’t you think, there is embarrass behaviors in those harassment? The same thing had lately repeatedly or done in Juba by Salva Kiir massacred Nuer people to whom some of them even votes for him. Was it human or animal brain killing those who love him? Dr.Riek has never committed those atrocities initially or made any mistakes, you might remember Kiir expunged him from his position as prime minister but he kept quiet without mobilizing anyone to fight. Shut up buddy,Dinka are bunch of animals in their minds or terrorists groups who do not even value people’s live than money.

A government is not supposed to fear Dr Machar as he is for peace. Machar is the father of the nation as sang by one of our national artist Gorden Koang. Once Dr Riek is away there is recurrent chaos and when he is present haters bow down before him. Lets stand with Dr Machar in order to embrace the spirit of peace and love.
